La Collina

We were looking forward to a true Italian meal. We were seated by a young gentleman who was friendly. Unfortunately he was not our waitperson. A women came over took our drink order and appetizer order. When she brought the appetizer we were ready to order. My husband ordered veal Parmigiano and I ordered eggplant Parmigiano. My husband asked what came with his dinner and she stated that mashed potatoes and vegetables. He stated he would rather pasta, she said no problem. Before I could say I would like the same, she left. We did not see her again. I spoke with the waiter that seated us and asked if he could let her know that I also wanted pasta. He took care of it. When our order came out, she placed them in front of us and started walking away, I asked her for bread and she came and plopped it on the table with olive oil. We never saw her again. She did not ask how our meal was or if we would like another drink. My wine glass was empty and I would have ordered another. She came back asked if we wanted dessert, my husband asked if they have cannoli's and she said no, canoli's are usually an Italian restaurant staple. She brought us the bill and that was the end of our visit. We were quite disappointed in the service and the food itself. The portions were very small for the amount of money spent. My husband paid $30 for veal and they were more of medallions than veal fillet. The eggplant was bland. Needless to say we regret going there and wasting our money.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We are new in town so this was our first time here. The place is very cozy and special. The service by our server Luis (i think that is his name) was excellent! The food was delicious! We had a wonderful time + meal + dessert. We are definitely going to come back and joyfully make La Collina a place to visit for special days/celebrations. Thank you!

The employees at La Collina were the best part of our evening. We did not have a reservation and walked in later in the evening. Upfront, one of the waiters informed us that only one chef was working that night and that the wait would be about an hour long (and he was right). When the food came, it was great and tasted amazing. The homemade sauces and fresh calamari were great, in addition to the pasta being perfectly cooked. As we were one of the last tables for the night, they even offered us a chocolate mousse cake on the house. The environment and great service we received made this a great experience.
