Smoothie King

This review is for the location on 1408 Dale Mabry Hwy, Lutz. I was there on Saturday May 14th at 6:45pm. What a horrible place.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME THERE! Horrible experience, whoever is running that place should get fired and if it’s the owner then Smoothie King should get rid of that franchisee. No sense of customer service whatsoever, last time I checked the smoothies are not free, can you say hi or welcome or smile? or even acknowledge the customers? Ridiculous! Not only that but I see the girl going back to the fruits bar and ice after she already had made the smoothie because she didn’t make enough but then the second time comes out a different color so I asked “what’s going on?” All she said was “recipes are down”.. she pours the different color smoothie on top of the one already served.. who does that? So again I had to tell her to mix it.. I mean come on! In the end she just puts the smoothie on the counter no apology, nothing!! Who hires these people? the other guy on his iPad the entire time. I will never go there again there are way better smoothie kings around the area! Either get new management or close the doors!

REFRESHING! 😋 Ice cold smoothie on a hot day is AMAZING! Location is always clean with polite employees. We always order Caribbean Way! Large is HUGE and maybe too much for the average smoothie drinker. Use the Smoothie King app for rewards. Wish locations could lookup rewards by cell # but they can’t. Do surveys on receipts for $1 off next smoothie! Would recommend this spot to friend / family!

I called this store yesterday after I spilled my smoothie everywhere at work seeing if there was some way I could replace it here. I let the manager know that I was by myself all day at work and that smoothie was my breakfast. He was very kind and said it was okay to come grab a new one. I showed him the photo of the accident and my bank charge to make sure he knew I wasn't lying or trying to get a free drink or anything. The store was really clean and fully stocked. I found out that this was also owned by the same owner as the other smoothie king I went to which was really cool. We chatted for awhile after I got my drink about the franchise itself and another restaurant in the same plaza switching from franchise to corporate. He was really nice and I super appreciate his customer service skills he showed.

Seeing I’m not the only one here to point out the lack of sanitation & the utter rudeness of the straight up unfriendly Tammy who runs the place.. if she doesn’t change her wanna-be-teenager entitled & rotten attitude soon, I’m sure many 1 star reviews will follow. Not worth the beverage. Give your money to a business that deserves it!

So smoothies are as expected... But, the customer service/ friendliness is abhorrent. Employees acted like we were a nuisance and mumbled answers to our questions. Date visited 11/23/2019, in case mangement wants to question “both” employees about our experience. We visit this location almost weekly and have never had this terrible of an experience there, but customer service has always been, meh. Try and lighten up and be pleasant and helpful to your customers, it goes a long way.

My husband normally brings me a smoothie every other Friday and the smoothies have been great for over a year, up until a few weeks ago. My husband ordered a strawberry pineapple protein smoothie and when he brought it to me, it was a pale yellow. I asked him where the strawberries were and the person behind the counter said they are new strawberries and all I could think was, I know smoothie king is all natural, so what's up with these strawberries without color? Anyway, I'll still order from them because its something easy to eat when I'm working; I guess I'll just keep my requests simple, lol.
