Considering my experience in the bartending business and doorman work, it was off putting to be told I wasn't going to be allowed in when I showed up at 1:28 am. Normally, in my experience, the doorman would let the single guy out alone go right in, because he's gonna drop money in a very short amount of time, and he's still gonna leave like everybody else. So by denying entry that early, you're cheating your bar owner AND the bar staff, wbo rely on tips like mine, that they didn't get. Denying me entry was the easiest thing for you to do at the moment, and your actions directly impacted everyones take home that night. But the real reason I'm writing this very detailed review is because like 10 minutes AFTER security told me no, I wasn't welcome to come inside, some other dude walks up and says he just wanted to pop in real quick, and wouldn't you know, they let him right in. When you're in positions like security and door staff, it's good to keep optics in mind. Things like that don't look good, therefore, it's bad for business. Optics are huge in this business, because one customer can be worth thousands to the bar he/she frequents. Letting someone else in AFTER you've arbitrarily denied entry to another person looks really bad, and the bar has lost a customer. .
