Cooper's Union

Went on a date there on a Friday night. Bar is very small and it was not even remotely full. Also, they didn't have Jack Daniels nor did they have any wines. My date wanted a red wine and she was forced to get something else. The people sitting at the bar were all weird men and kind of freaked my date out a little so we sat away from the bar at one of only 4 tables they have there. Wouldn't go again and certainly wouldn't recommend!

Relaxed pub with a good selection of beer on tap. Quite a few whiskeys and whiskys for that extra special. Kitchen is under renovation so I'll have to go back. Bar staff is very attentive and friendly which is a must for after work wind down before the commute home. Next to the police station so it's not going to get rowdy, that's a big plus.

My favorite bar in Hoboken. It is rare when I find a neighborhood bar that has good scotch. Cooper's Union has lots of it. The bartenders are great and very knowledgeable. Talk to Paddy, he is the best there is. The prices are decent and the selection of drinks is vast. Paddy will also mix up some special cocktails for you. Just ask. I highly recommend this bar.

Really love the design, decor and the vibe. Now they two bars which is really cool and the layout is pretty sweet. I was here recently for drinks and also tried the lunch menu here. I ordered the Shrimp sandwich, house salad and french onion soup , my friend had the cobb salad. I really liked my shrimp sandwich and soup. The cobb salad was also really nice. Our server(Miranda) so so nice, she really took good care of us. Definitely coming here again!
