Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Very nice family restaurant. Prices are reasonable and the food is very good. They have a seniors day once a week giving them a 20 percent discount. They also give a veterans discount every day. The only drawback is that the service is a bit slow. If you're not in a hurry, it's a great place to eat.

Perkins was able to accommodate my family and I during the busiest time/day of the week, Sunday right after church. Other local brunch serving places didn't even have 1 parking space open. Although they too were busy, we were seated without wait and our server was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was delicious! They have a really nice selection to choose from these days. Very nice brunch without feeling crowded. I think we'll make it a weekly routine!

The service at Perkins was extraordinaire. The server (Cassi) went above and beyond in serving us. My cousin (a serviceman on Active Duty), our Cousin and I will definitely return to Perkins! The food was very delicious, and the atmosphere set the right kind of mood. I definitely recommend Perkins Restaurant to anybody who wants to experience great food and service!

We had dinner there tonight. The service was adequate, nothing more. The food was very lackluster. There was such hard coating on the shrimp you could hardly taste the shrimp itself. The lettuce in my salad was brownish. My husband's turkey dinner was just "not very good." I asked for butter for my very dry baked potato. The waitress brought their "butter" which was margarine. I'm in no hurry to return.

Our waitress never put our order in. We waited for over an hour for our food. After an hour, the waitress asked us to clarify an order that she wrote down wrong. The waitress said she was new, but that is no excuse for the level of service. When the order finally arrived, it was incorrect. We demanded to see the manager, and she was very rude and visibly irritated. We demanded that the check be on the house. The manager agreed, but angrily. I was very disappointed, I am normally a fan of Perkins.

We went to Perkins as a last meal in our hometown. We gathered with family and had a group of 17. Everything started out well and the waitress was great. We ordered our food and shared stories of our childhood and family. Half of the food came out and we tried not to eat until everyone was served. We waited about 5 minutes and decided to go ahead and say grace so the food would net get cold. The waitress came by a few times and kept saying the food was coming. After everyone was done eating I went to the register where two employees were(including the waitress) and asked about the meals. She replied they had never been made because the order didn’t go through. I asked her to come and explain to the group. It was late and they were hungry and elderly. She came and apologized and explained what happened. Then told them she would take off some from their bill. It took another 15 minutes before they got their food and when the bill came she only took 10% from each meal. Seriously there wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant as everyone had left except our family. It was almost as saying sucks for you but I am still charging you. Not that we expected to eat for free, but not an offer of a desert or one free meal or anything. 😥 it was the WORST service and then rude to end with. So sad to leave a town our families have resided in for almost 100 years..... to sum this up, horrible service and horrible customer relations......

I spilled my coffee all over table right after she placed my beverage down and waitress never came back until food came. We had 2 napkins and sat with that for 20 minutes. Else wise visit was good. Ahmm, wait-the pancakes for so filled with air your fork couldn't even grab onto them. Put some cake heft back into those pancakes.
