Halibut House

I drive by everyday and have been wanting to try it out. We were looking to have a late breakfast and saw the all day breakfast sign here. The restaurant was clean and smelled great. We just ordered a quick and easy breakfast special 2 eggs ,bacon, home fries and toast for $7. Eggs were cooked perfectly over medium just how I wanted it, bacon was good not to crispy. The home fries were great! They were perfectly seasoned and maybe fried in a garlic butter. I would definitely be back here for breakfast and to try more things on the menu. They had lots of select on the menu, there is definitely something for everyone here.

We're just in town for the week and thought we'd try this location because we enjoy the one from Markham. They did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and even gave us some coleslaw to try and for waiting (which was really only 5 minutes). My kids likes this place and we'd recommend it. Convenient location too because of the other things at the plaza. Sun and Mon they have a Haddock and chips special for only $10! Great portion size too, we couldn't even finish our fries in one sitting.

Me and my husband went there as I was craving fish and chips. The staff were so nice. The restaurant is so clean I haven’t been to such a nice and clean restaurant in so long. The food was amazing the fries were cooked perfectly and for a very good price for such a large amount of food. Would definitely recommend this place.

We ordered the platter, fish, shrimp and chips were good. Scallops were over fried and not good! I wouldn't order those again. Staff are super friendly. Good size portion, cooked to order. Other complaint, they don't put condiments on for you when requested only place in bag, however sal, pepper n malt should go on right out of fryer for best results. Thanks for your response, however you may have noted from my review, I did request that condiments were put directly on food this was at order time when paying. When I asked again other staff said no it was wrapped. If you're going to respond to customers on a review make sure it doesn't include blaming customer.

Very decent food and portions. UberEats prices are out of control but I know they're a necessary evil & take a 30% cut. The convenience was worth it, especially with the $20 off promo. Tipped at least 15% with the money I saved. Just found the fish a tad overcooked or tough & wish the fillets were a tad thicker although they were quite large & we couldn't finish them in one sitting. My partner & I ordered so much food, we didn't have to cook nor order anything else for two whole days. I think it was $100 very well spent as it was Daylight Saving/Spring Forward Sunday & everyone was stoopid groggy. Our friends & other people we know love ordering from here so we 100% went on their recommendation as I was suddenly having crazy PMS hankerings for fried things. The halibut & rice set was my favourite. The rice was tender & tasted brothy. Almost ate the whole thing all by myself. My man especially loved the seafood platter with the battered haddock, scallops & shrimp. Thank goodness we had ordered a shrimp & scallop with chips on top of that. The cod & onion rings were solid too. The batter on the onion rings were so crispy, we damn near died of happiness. The coleslaw was light & crunchy with an addictive sweet/sour bite. The gravy was huge. Almost 2 cups worth. Mistook it for soup & was bewildered because I didn't recall ordering a soup. Lolz. Greek salad was very fresh but would have preferred an oil/vinegar dressing instead of something tangy/sweet/creamy. I liked that there was a wide combination/variety of main & side groupings so that most of the menu could be experienced at a reasonable price. I still have half a litre left of the two total litres of very thick cut fries that were beyond generous considering they were sides & is taking forever to finish.
