Smalls Coffee

Probably the best coffee I have had in Canada? Hole in the wall that only does take-away. Sadly the matcha latte was under-matcha-ed/overmilked. Judging from the matcha used it’s not the quality but the quantity. Service and stand-out quality of the coffee save this review from dropping a star ;) This place takes its coffee sourcing and making seriously and has survived for quite a few years. Obviously for good reasons!

Great tasting coffee! This ‘small’ shop really does justice to its name, as the venue is just that. They keep it simple at Smalls, espresso based coffee drinks of all kinds, and with plenty of alternative products to substitute dairy. They serve a selection of pastries that go well with the drinks they serve, on top of all kinds of coffee accessories and devises and a selection of coffee beans. The espresso is quite tasty and balanced, it is not overwhelming nor it has a lingering aftertaste, which makes it easy to drink and quite enjoyable. The service was great! The ladies behind the counter were attentive and made the drinks quickly even with a bit of a lineup. I have the feeling this place gets a line out the door at times, due to its size. Keep that in mind while visiting at peak times. Don’t miss is if you are around The West Harbour area!
