Veggie Express

Haven't gotten to try the buffet as that's been closed due to covid. That being said we have done take out numerous times and we drive from South Dallas in order to do so. We've tried a number of dishes and so far enjoyed all of them! Having only gone vegetarian in the past 3 years and not appreciating very spicy foods has made finding vegetarian restaurant, that I like, a challenge. This place however is awesome and has become one of our favorite places to grab food to go.

This restaurant is one of our very favorites. Partially because of the food, but also because the owners are just wonderful people. The menu is fully vegan with a wide variety of faux meat options. My fiancé is vegan and I'm a "flexetarian" so we love going here because it's just really fantastic food. Pre-Covid, there was a buffet, but for now it's just to-go. Portions are large so family style is a great route to take if you're eating with multiple people. My favorite go-tos: Dumplings Pan fried noodles with beef (pictured) Flat noodles with beef Crispy sesame orange chicken Beef/chicken fried rice

I went for the lunch buffet and it's definitely worth it. They gave a pretty good variety of dishes for a vegan buffet and kept everything topped off pretty well. I never had to worry about waiting for any entrees to be filled up. The sauce and taste between dishes eventually blend together but it's a buffet so keep your expectations low. If you're looking for a good budget place and are pretty hungry this is a great budget friendly place.

This is a hidden gem. No doubt about that! I've started coming here all the time. I come for the food and the always welcoming smile that I get from the owner. She is the sweetest and most caring lady. The service is impeccable and you always feel cozy and practically at home. I'm big on decor and atmosphere and that's a main decider in where I go to eat... sure this place doesn't have the most amazing decor in the world as you can see from the pictures, but the food is SO mouthwatering I can't keep myself away. The best part about all of it. Is it's only $9.20 exactly for the buffet. For a vegan buffet with outstanding service and a warm smile for that cheap... I've said it before and I'll say it again. It truly is a gem.

So, so, so great! This was not our first visit. Like most vegan places it isn’t the nicest restaurant I’ve visited (it’s in a strip mall), but the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere. I asked the owners son this time why they decided to open a vegan restaurant and he said his parents worked in a restaurant that had vegan options and they realized how popular it was so they decided to open their own vegan restaurant. BRAVO! The food is fantastic!!
