New Flushing Bakery

July 2023: enjoyed being able to come back for another visit. Happy to see them still in business! Love their egg tarts and all the variations. They’re all great! March 2020: Unassuming and perfect. Only a couple of spots to sit and dine in. I got egg tarts to go, some Hong Kong style (more egg focused in flavor) and some Portuguese style (more creamy custard-like with flavors of vanilla and sweetness). Both delicious. Fantastic crust on both of them-rich flaky buttery. Cash only. Great hole in the wall spot. Right around the corner from nan Xiang xiao long bao for soup dumplings.

This bakery sells some of the most delicious egg tarts I have truly ever had! I keep thinking back to this place on the heart of Main St, Flushing due to their inexpensive, rich, delicate, and creamy egg tarts. We got the cheese tart, egg tart, and Portuguese egg tart for only $2.50 each! The cheese tart was extremely rich and creamy, and was blowtorched to perfection. In every bite you could taste the heart and soul that was poured into baking the treat. The regular egg tart was just as yummy. It was filled with a deliciously sweet creamy egg delicacy, with the perfect flaky crust. The Portuguese egg tart was my favorite! Not only was it rich and creamy, but it was also so soft it melts in your mouth. It was caramelized to perfection, and the fillings were absolutely delectable. I can't wait go to back to Flushing to eat these tarts again!

We came here last December and I'm finally getting to writing reviews! :) Delicious egg tarts, both Hong Kong style and Portuguese style, and pineapple buns. We got ours fresh out of the oven, so it was nice and warm. Crust was flaky. It was perfect! Bakery is cash only. Space is small, but the ladies in the front work quick. Easy to find, located next to Coco Tea & Juice. I still dream about these to this day.

This place has THE BEST egg tarts in NYC. It's especially good when they take it straight out of the oven, but regardless of whether it's hot or cold, it's absolutely delicious. The crispy crust is also just amazingly flakey and buttery. It's a little more expensive than other places but it's so worth it! Their Portuguese egg tart is best but definitely try the other flavors!
