Comfort Cafe

My Dad loves hot dogs, we love trying new places. We won't return here. Checked off the list by cleanliness and wait time. Super friendly staff. The food was good but not great (I had the French dip). We waited over 35 minutes for our food. The slaw lacked seasoning, flies everywhere and the only toilet wouldn't flush. #thatsawkward

Phenomenal fresh biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles (I heard them tenderizing my chicken!), corned beef hash, and the chicken and waffles! The French toast was just like a dessert - WE WILL BE COMING BACK! The Mother told us her grandfather taught her how to make the gravy for the biscuits - I understand why :D

The service was amazing. The lady kept checking in regularly and the place was very homely. BUT my hot coco had ants in it and I didnt realize it until i had drank half of it. If any item on their menu could be ordered during anytime, that'd be nice. I didnt mind it too much but maybe some of the reuglars shouldnt be talking about pulling out firearms when you FIRST walk in. My chili burger was great! Real fun concept. But the prices aren't fair. I could have went to Red Robin or anywhere else and got the same burger for around the same price.

I have dined in twice and had delivered 3 times from this place. Never ever again! The most recent was yesterday morning via Uber Eats. I ordered the everything omelet with English muffin, the home fries with added mushrooms, cheese, bacon, onion and bell peppers, a side of gravy and a cinnamon roll. Okay it was delivered quick and the Uber Eats driver was fantastic as always. Now to the food. The Everything omelet had sausage and zuchinni. No bacon or ham or onions as it is supposed to have. The home fries some pieces of the potatoes were still hard and had raw diced red onions yet the bell pepper was soft and no mushrooms in the potatoes. In fact I found 4 mushroom slices in all. The toast was a single slice of dry white toast. The side of gravy? Well it never even was sent with the order. The cinnamon roll was cold, no glaze (maybe that is how they are served). I did get two containers of jam for 1 sad piece of toast. I called Comfort Cafe and was told oh it must have been the driver's fault cause they picked up 2 orders at the same time. No my initial was written on the bag. Then she said oh we always staple the receipt. Nope, absolutely no receipt has ever been stapled to the white plastic bag that has Amazon Restaurants on the logo. Then she said well she is the one that cooked the order and I said you cooked it wrong. I asked for a refund and she said no she couldn't do that. I said okay then refire the order and send it back out. Nope I decided I would rather make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich over this. She said they boil their potatoes before they fry them. Fine, that doesn't explain raw onions of a few pieces that were still hard or how I got the wrong and missing order. I called Uber Eats, they immediately reversed the charge to my account. Unfortunately, that also means the tip I provided for the driver. How can Comfort Cafe stay in business?

Went out to heat it here for breakfast food was good service was okay they made a mistake on my order so they had compensated us with a free dessert at the end of our meal one was a gingersnap moon pie cookie the other was carrot cake Muffin. The gingerSnap moon pie cookies were very good so the previous weekend I had called in an order for a dozen of them when I went to go pick pick up the order I didn't realize that all of the dozen of them were not set up they were very soft and Squishy when I called the owner Liz to ask what had happened she was very rude I'm very disappointed I will not be going back.
