Noodle Hut

Please don't take the fact that I gave this place five stars as over exuberance. I know that Yelp tells you to give the four star reviews more weight because they are less likely to be written by someone associated with the business or at least better thought out but this is hands down the best Thai I've ever had anywhere and I've eaten it everywhere around Seattle. I was honestly burned out on Thai before I found this place. There are too many Thai Bistro and Lanna Thai type places out there that make strip mall quality crap. This is actual Thai style, not the Americanized version. The flavors are on point and the tray of house made sauces that comes with it allows you to dial in the flavor to the exact level you want. I taught my kids a long time ago that if you want the best ethnic food, you are better off in the bad part of town and this definitely fits the bill. It sits near the location of one of Western WA's old mobbed up strip clubs. That place is long gone now but the residual windowless massage parlors that popped up while it was still around are still in business. At the very least, you can say that it's a sort of cultural experience eating there. The building looks like something you'd find in the Swiss Alps on the inside and just as you're expecting your Spaetzle to arrive, out comes a bowl of delicious Thai noodle soup full of meat, noodles and veggies. The Rard Nah is served in a bowl with a great amount of the bean/sweet soy gravy and the noodles are fat and chewy, not gummy or mushy. The prices are $4-$5 cheaper than the strip mall crap too. This place is a total win!
