Great local spot for reliable pan-asian dining options.... I'm a regular for the tempura, shrimp shumai, and the pad see ewe noodles which are delicious! Food is always steaming hot and clearly freshly made. I've been ordering from them since we moved in December 2021, but wanted to shout them out. It's been a tough season for restaurants. If you're looking for something new, try them out! Online ordering is super easy for pick-up, but I have not tried delivery.

When I first tried this place when it opened, I was disappointed because they used ginger & cilantro in the dishes I ordered & they weren't included in the menu description. I tried it twice & had the same experience so I hadn't gone back. But recently a friend & I met for lunch nearby only to find all the other restaurants nearby were closed (it was on a Monday) & Bonsai was open & we decided to give it another try. This time I was pleasantly surprised. I asked if the chow fun I was thinking about ordering had cilantro or ginger in it & was told they could make it without them, so that's what I got. It was so good Bonsai is now my go-to when I'm craving those wide, saucy rice noodles.

The environment was very warm and pleasant. The waiters were very nice and respectful. You can grab some of the stuffed animals and just relax with some friends there. The food is alright from what I have had. Something with the sushi's texture makes me feel weird. I have had sushi at other place in downtown Chicago and played a fortune for it, but the texture is weird here. All the other food is fine though; dumplings, tea, egg rolls, ginger ale. Their ginger ale is supposed to be very good the two other people I was there with suggested it was amazing. Overall the restaurant is a quiet nook to hang out with friends or family and eat.

I frequent this superb place many times because I enjoy the special air that is characterizes this restaurant. The crew is exceptionally welcoming and professional. The service is certainly quick. Most important, the food they cook is outstanding. I came more than once and I was always satisfied. The expense is fair. I suggest this place to to all.

I love this restaurant! They have good dishes, they have a nice menu, The cook in that place is very trained, I love a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently fresh, the service towards the visitors is nice. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it to all my friends.
