A fantastic pub for a pint!

A really nice oldie worlde pub with a great view of a pretty part of Ely.

One of the few real pubs left in Ely, full of charm and character. There is no television, no music, and such is the clientele you don't have to worry about people playing loud videos on their phones. It's one of the few outlets you won't feel like an eccentric to be seen with a newspaper. A pub like this should be cherished.

Not a bad little pub, some good real ales and a fair wine selection.

A cosy pub with an open fire, sometimes lit when the weather's cold depending who is behind the bar. There's usually a copy of The Times.
Has Adnams Ghost Ship, usually either Southwold Bitter or Timothy Taylors Landlord on hand pump. Fullers London Pride was also on when I visited, the choice is usually better towards the end of the week, and more limited early in the week.

No blaring music, no TV, no gimmicks - just an authentic local pub where you can enjoy a good fire, good beer, and a good conversation. What a pub should be, for my money.
