Expert Burger

It did take a few minutes to get my food. But then again this is not McDonald’s. If you want a fast burger with zero thought put into go to a fast food place. At the expert burger you can order a single, double, triple, quad. I had a double TEX-MA’MA (chili cheese) and an order of chili cheese fries. Both were over the top good. Also had 3 beers. I’m a big guy so I eat a lot. It was just enough food for me.

Clean on the inside, descent prices for burgers. Cooked to order. Front counter person was friendly. Cook however was not. No refills on fountain drinks (was not told this by anyone). Cook came over and turned off the machine and said it was $1.25 for a refill for the tiny cups they gave you. Not friendly, felt very unwelcomed there from his demeanor. Maybe a bad day? Maybe more? Good food but wouldn’t visit again, ever.

We stopped in here late on a Tuesday afternoon. It was pretty quiet. We found it to be very clean and the gal behind the counter was very nice. Service was fast. The burgers were good and so were the sweet potato fries. We thought it was a little expensive but it may be average for the area. We would eat there again.

I'd give Expert Burger 5-stars if they can improve the service a bit (professionalism, speed, accuracy). Otherwise, the food is incredibly good. I went there with my family and we sat outside. This worked well for is because we had our dog with us...plus the smell inside was a bit strong/smokey (not overwhelming though). There wasn't a line at the time but it still took 10 minutes to order and another 30 minutes to get the food...so like a restaurant but with counter ordering. We were later informed that they didn't have sweet potato fries anymore (they offered standard fries but did not give back the difference in cost) and they forgot to bring out the onion rings (we needed to remind them). My kids didn't care much for the local soda option but the soda water was fine. The burger options, including a salmon option, are fancy and taste incredibly good. I highly recommend trying a burger here, just be patient.

Burger and black bean burger we're great. Fries would have been great, but we're over salted. Avoid the "kids grilled cheese". The grilled cheese arrived as a cheese sandwich on a slightly warm bun. If service had been fast or friendly, the above would have been forgivable. As the service was neither of those, I can't give this place above three stars .
