Montana Mikes

Nice rustic ambiance. We had a group of 7 people and we're seated right away on a Tuesday night. The fresh warm rolls with a cinnamon butter was delicious as usual. Each of us ordered a meal. I got the New York strip and sweet potato. It looked beautiful but it did have some gristle. My hubs enjoyed the steak and shrimp. One of my daughters got the chicken fried steak and it was quite dry. Another for a pretzel bun burger that was delicious. Chicken strips are always fantastic. T-bone steak was great and the catfish was good also. They have a bar you can sit at and offer drink specials although we did not partake. Definitely a bit pricy but overall good.

We have been wanting to go Montana Mike's for some time and one Sunday the opportunity came and we went. Since it was post church, there weren't too many guests (hint: Want to avoid crowds, go early Sunday.) For the first visit, it is hard to judge the food. We were with friends and among the four of us, we had three different selections. At the end of the meal, all of pur plates were cleaned, which might be a testimony for the quality of the food. The portions sizes were very adequate and, surprisingly, it seemed the portion sizes matched the price: more food, higher price. And speaking of food, Montana Mike's is a steak house, but they still offer a wide variety of choices: beef, chicken, seafood and bison, full plate entrees, salads and sandwiches. Plenty of beverages to choose from as well: wine, a good selection of beers both small brewery and macro, tea, coffee and soda. The menu is not extensive like similar restaurants, but that's a good thing: What they do they do well. Service was very good and all of orders came exactly as we wanted. Montana Mike's has a mountain lodge feel and look. And there are plenty of taxidermied critters staring at you while you eat. Only creepy if you don't like taxidermied critters staring at you while you eat. Ultimately, the big question is, "Would we go back?" Sure! Too many things not tried.

First time here, found it on Google maps under "Best Dinners. Clean place, plenty of flat screens, spacious, music was suitable and volume was nice. Service was prompt. Ordered bone in Rib eye medium well done, came perfect and tasted great, baked potato was also great. All expectations met. Nice job!

Very good food, okay service. Nice atmosphere. A little dark inside but for date night that might be perfect! They brought large platters of appetizers when ordered (much larger than expected). Brought lots of yummy, warm bread and cinnamon butter, free of charge. The price was medium to high but the food was excellent. We were stuffed before our meal even arrived. Alcohol available.
