303 Jefferson

We are new to the area and visited Clinton, which is BEAUTIFUL! We were on the opposite side of the road from 303 Jefferson when someone went inside. We didn't know it was a restaurant, but we smelled that it was! A quick search on Google confirmed that it was a restaurant with good reviews. The outside is unique with rustic whimsical decor, and that is continued inside, without being cluttered. The atmosphere was small town diner type but it is more of a upscale offering as well, with cloth napkins and gourmet type meals.The lunch menu was small but perfect! They had a lunch special that was Southern type cooking, but we ordered burgers. They have several toppings you can order for extra, and I did so. You also choose your bun! The food was rather pricey but worth it. We were stuffed and happy. Then, right before we left, we had a visitor to our table, checking on how our visit to the restaurant was. Turns out, it was the owner! We were impressed to meet him and chat with him, and that made the experience even better. We will definitely go back to this place and plan on taking family when they visit.

Arrived early afternoon with my mom who was down here from Pontotoc for a medical appointment. I wanted to show her the crocheted trees, since she crochet. But I wanted to treat her to a great fried chicken dish at 303. However, time after time, as we would select a dish, they said they were OUT! It happened at least 3 times! We finally ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which ended up being all we had for lunch, after a very long day with her medical appointment. I was not only DISAPPOINTED, but I was EMBARRASSED & ASHAMED that the restaurant we'd built up to be a wonderful one would let me down so much.

We celebrated our 31st Wedding Anniversary here & I had the Blackened Grilled Shrimp & my husband had the Red Fish with crab meat.......... it was Amazing & I also had a Bloody Mary so you just can't go wrong with any of this! A Big Shout out to our waiter Eric, Super nice & made our night even more special! I've told all my friends & we'll be back!!!
