Once Upon A Thyme

Once Upon A Thyme is real home-style food. Delicious salads, soups, sandwiches, & smoothies, all made in-house. Service is fast & friendly, just order at the counter, grab your number, & have a seat. It is arguably one of the two best places to eat between Portland and Seattle along side I-5. The other outstanding restaurant is of course Daddy D’s BBQ in Woodland, WA. Once Upon A Thyme deserves 6 stars for food freshness & taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is delish! We stopped on a road trip, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variation of choices. We had the Reuben, Turkey artichoke, beef, and fig & ham; fam favorites were the artichoke and fig. It is woman owned and operated (the “thyme team!”), and everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful. Worth the stop!

First time in and I can say it won't be my last! I have a severe sesame allergy and the employee was so diligent and kind about finding out if it was in any of the things I was purchasing. They made their Portabella Pesto Panni vegan for me without batting an eye. It's rare to have kindness when eating with multiple diet restrictions and their care was so professional and profoundly appreciated. I had already committed to coming back just for the service.... then I tried the food. OMG! The flavor profile literally exploded in my mouth. I will drive 45mins again just to have that sandwich! The vegan chocolate chip cookie almost did me in! It is the best I have had in my entire life and that would include non vegan cookies! So amazing!!! I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you all for the amazing food and incredible service!!!

So happy we discovered this spot. Staff So friendly and the food is amazing! Soon to be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives! Get here before it gets too crowded! The ham and fig sandwich was really good, hubby loved the Vegan Italian. The Blueberry 🌺 Hibiscus tea was so good I bought 2 cans in their little store!

Joy's food is consistently great. There are other local restaurants with good menu options but it's 50/50 on whether you'll get nasty brown avocado in your wrap or the salad dressing is not mixed properly so it's basically straight oil. The food at Once Upon a Thyme is fresh and consistent every time. You're not going to get a piece of half rotten food on your plate.
