I attended Buxton for my graduation. I am so pleased I booked my meal at the Kings head. The food was really nice and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed

Went to the King's Head for a meal before going to a show at the Opera House, the meal was OK & the service was very good. Good sports bar. Only down side we found the interior quite dark.

Booked online, only 2 hours before we wanted to dine. Easy to book online.
Arrived a little late due to public transport but that was no problem to the staff.
Preferred our 2 meals, Gluten Free rump steak with the customary items and a standard mixed grill, both meals were excellent with no waste whatsoever. The rump steak took no effort to eat, tender and cooked just the way I asked for and the mixed grill was quality at its best. Presentation of the meals were spot on, and came to the table piping hot.
Can’t wait to return and have already mentioned the Kings Head to some of our friends.

The food is always nice, hot, never wait too long and the service is amazing. The staff are so caring and helpful and they really make you feel welcome. It’s always clean. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Your staff really deserve something as a thank you they’re excellent

Our reserved table was in a good position near the bar but with some natural light from the large front window.
The dietary needs of two if the party were met through a very helpful filter on the pub’s website. We knew what we would be able to eat in advance.
The food was very good, with a useful lunchtime offer which allowed us all to have a smaller portion.
The staff were polite and helpful, bringing extra sides promptly.
The toilets were quite a distance from the table which affected two members of the party. We will request to be a bit nearer to them in future.

We walked from town, so we were ready for food, and we had a fabulous Sunday dinner. The beef was absolutely delicious. A dog friendly traditional pub We will be going back when visiting Buxton.

Wanted a quick bite to eat late on Sunday afternoon and this did just the job. Haven't been here for a couple of years and it's just as good. Not sure anywhere is 'cheap and cheerful' these days but this is as near as it gets, great value, quick service. You can't ask for more, pub food with a smile. And the trifle cheese cake is delicious

Steak night at the King's Head, Buxton. Ordered 8oz rump steak and pint of strongbow on the deal. Nice piece of steak, not chewy, melted in my mouth. Very satisfied with the meal.

Arrived in Buxton on a Saturday night for a week's stay, We chose this pub for our first night's meal, Wasn't disappointed, Found a table to watch the football and the food was excellent, So good we came back on the Wednesday, When we got chatting to a lovely elderly couple who lived locally and are regulars visitors here.
So all in all, Good choice of beer's, great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, Will return on my next visit to Buxton.
