Bacchus

Initially booked this restaurant as it seemed to be the only place open on the 1st of January, but turned out to be a really good meal out. I had the Trio of Lamb which was stunning and my wife was really impressed with the chicken she had. Service was great, food was great. Will definitely return when next in Buxton.

3rd and 4th December 2021. We liked it so much we went back the following night. The food is amazing and the service first rate. I can highly recommend the Bacchus special and the Trio of Lamb. If we were staying another night we'd go back a third time. I can also recommend the Cosmopolitan cocktail. That went down WAY to easy. Well worth a visit.

A story of two Tales. Last time visiting the food was the best I have ever tasted in Buxton(5 stars). This time very mediocre - service not as attentive (leaving people with no drinks), Sardines not prepared very well (last time amazing) and fillet steak well was not fillet steak (think they got the order wrong). Please maintain consistency the Town needs it (4 star as I will be back because it was just so good last time)

First restaurant visited to dine-in since lockdown was eased, great tasting food being served here at Bacchus and Wine Bar with excellent service in keeping with covid-19 regulations. The food here is cooked very well with delicous flavours and fresh ingredients which really does make you think you're eating the food on holiday in Greece or southern Italy. Would definitely recommend the ox cheek and chicken liver dishes which are packed full of flavour. The wine menu had a good selection, would definitely recommend the Sicilian pinot grigio with the seafood dishes such as the sardines and octopus.
