Sugoi Sushi

I would say negative stars! but it will not post unless a star is picked. I had lunch with my son at about 2:50pm to realize lunch ends at 2:30pm and prices jump up for dinner at 2:31 pm sharp. than the menu given prices are priced one price, but computer is priced at a higher price after waitress places in the orders. The table servers don't tell you prices will increase. another thing if your eating in the restaurant they will mop the floor with strong bleach odor making you dizzy and sickish to the stomach. after lunch/DINNER waiter could not explain why I had to pay $62.45 for something that should have been about $36 bucks. It's a rip off and they had no answer other then sorry and it was already charged to my card!! Very Unsatisfied I know I am only one person and they may not care that I never return. I just had to let this out as it was very wrong! Money is not the issue it was the fact that they would not honor the price of the menu and could not even consider any discount.... signed one unhappy ex-customer who eat less than mediocre food.

My wife has a shellfish allergy. We're hesitant to try new place because of it. She has a bad reaction from just being in the car with shellfish even if it's in a container inside of a bag. You see where I'm going with this. I ordered some lunch specials over the phone. Told them we have a shellfish allergy. They seemed pretty unsure what it was so I explained that it's mainly no shrimp and no crab. I got there to pick up the food and he said one of the rolls had shrimp in it. Waiter said he told the chef about it but she decided to put them in anyways. I explained how I couldn't take the food because of that and walked out. I'm sure the food would of been good like everyone is saying but avoid this place if you have an allergy because they're quick to disregard it and do whatever they want anyways.

The food here was amazing. Went for lunch and I ordered the calimari and it came with a rice vinegar that the combo really complemented each other. The tempera was not greasy and my favorite was the onion rings. I always try the cucumber salad at Japanese restaurants and this one had a different dressing on it like a sesame dressing that was great. I tried the California hand roll and it came like a funnel burrito. I was hesitant to eat it but it actually worked. Definitely will be coming back.

Two stars is unfair to the chef, but the service was horrible. We order family style where everyone shares. No plates were brought to us without asking.The first server took our drink order. Beer for me water for my wife and failed to stick around for us to get a beverage for my son. My wife and I use chop sticks but our 3 year old does not. No fork was offered, no kid friendly chop sticks were offered. For an average of 14 per roll I would expect at least a small dollop of Wasabi and ginger per plate, but no we had to ask for that too.... more than once. The slices of fish on top of the rolls were more like slivers rather than slices. This place was alot better 6 months ago.....

Best sushi and Japanese food in Beaumont. I really like their rainbow roll (minus the sauce), dragon roll, California roll, unagi roll, and lion king roll. They also have good bento boxes with chicken teriyaki, gyoza, and rolls. I also enjoy their unagi bowl and their udon soups - tofu, chicken, and shumai are delicious. The restaurant has expanded, so now it's twice the size. The restaurant is always clean, and they do a lot of to-go orders. The staff is always helpful and nice. I have been visiting this location for over 4 years.
