Five Guys

While the burger I got was what I expect from a Five Guys, nothing else about my experience was. From the long (15+ min) wait time to the cleanliness of the establishment, I was thoroughly unimpressed. The soda fountain had about 60% of the flavors blacked out and there were only two straws left in the holders. The lids were strewn all over the place and it looked as though barbecue sauce had been spilled at the station. Then, I went to use the bathroom and the men's room was honestly one of the worst restrooms I've ever witnessed. The faucet handle was loose and leaking, the toilet seemed in disrepair, and the whole room smelled as though someone had been smoking cheap cigarettes in there. The condition of the dining area was not much better. We arrived at around 4:50 PM and the floors appeared as though they hadn't been cleaned since the day before. Meanwhile the tables were littered with crumbs and dried, sticky soda. To add injury to insult, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger "all in" w/o pickles, as well as fries, and a drink. When we got our order, the slip on the bag was 100% correct but the order wasn't. My burger had extra cheese, mayo, onions, mustard, mushrooms and pickles. No bacon, no lettuce, no tomato, no ketchup. By that time I was hungry enough and the line was long enough that it wasn't worth my time to go in and get the correct sandwich.

Came to five guys on our way home from Boston. We love our five guys in Bangor, hence why we stopped here for lunch and not another establishment. When my fiance and I walked in we were greeted with yelling from the guy running the cash register. He was rude, yelling at us for our order and I even witnessed him shake his head and say out loud "please don't come here" to other incoming guests before they entered. I get staffing issues which very well could've been occurring today but his rudeness was unacceptable. We stood waiting in the lobby while our feet stuck to the floor everywhere we walked. Chatted with another guest who stated that the cashier was ignorant and the floor was gross. My fiance got his burger where he asked for extra lettuce and the lettuce wasn't that great. After picking it off the food was great! The gentleman working with the red beard was super nice!

So, I was delivering for DoorDash and had to wait almost 20 minutes for Fries and Milkshakes when I got there. Three guys cooking all with beards and no beard nets. Guy on front was all bu himself and all I heard them say to the guy, "Hey so and so, got be faster!" Also saw one of the cooks wipe his face with the edge of his glove and not change it before he wrapped someone's burger! Good thing it wasn't for my customer because he would of had to remake it! Felt sorry for the guy making my milkshakes and taking orders because no one would help him.
