China Chef

First time to dine. This is a pretty typical Chinese take-out type restaurant. There did seem to be some slight variation from other similar restaurants, though this could be a regional difference from my home territory in VA. The Chicken & broccoli was very tender with plenty of seasoning and sauce. The Honey Chicken was also still tender and succulent. I hadn't had the honey chicken quite like this, but it was very good. Serving sizes for both meals were quite generous and left plenty for us both to have leftovers for later. We enjoyed our dine-in visit and saw lots of foot traffic for take-out orders.

China Chef is the ONLY Chinese restaurant for my family. The food is fresh, well prepared, portions are plentiful, staff is friendly, service is great and food is delicious. We have tried other Chinese restaurants in the area, (our mistake!) Hot n Sour Soup, Chicken cashew, Phoenix & Dragon, Sesame chicken, Honey chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, all are just some of our favorites and highly recommended.

Buyer beware. I ordered Chow Mein - typically a Chinese stir-fry noodle dish, and had it delivered (using DoorDash) for lunch. What I got was NOT chow mein - instead, I got some sort of cabbage dish, that smelled terribly (see photos). When I called to say, hey, I think I got the wrong order, the person on the phone scoffed and me and told me that lo mein is a noodle dish (true), chow mein is a cabbage dish (uh....what). So, here I am, $10 later with no lunch. Thanks for nothing, I guess. *update* I am getting the money back from my bank for this... I'm sorry, but to not offer me a refund, or offer me a replacement is just insanity. I showed the food to my coworkers and everyone had the same reaction - you couldn't even get past the smell to try the food.

Live near by and this is my go to Chinese for close proximity. Have tried a handful of dishes and have never been disappointed. I tried the Hunan Three Flavor for the first time tonight and it was the best dish I’ve had yet. The meat was wonderfully mixed with a variety of mixed vegetables. Could of been a little more spicy but had just enough kick. I’d recommend this dish to anyone. The owners have always been super nice and kind to the customers. Well done!

Had their Szechuan chicken combo platter. Nice lean chunks of chicken, lots of fresh crispy veggies and fluffy and non-greasy pork fried rice. Nice and spicy sauce with chili pepper seeds and flakes present. Also had an oil free and super crisp egg roll. Good sized portions. Stopped by here just because we were in the area but will make a point to come back again!
