After reading some of the reviews, was prepared for disappointment. But the Fish Bar was better than expected. Priced for the tourist market, but delivered on the food, with good service and acceptable portions. No frills but definitely not as bad as some of the prior reviews make out.

It’s not the cheapest chippy in the country but it’s in one of the most expensive places to pay rent and difficult to attract staff to the area. On that basis I’m not commenting on the price. If you want cheap chips try Bury maybe. …
