Tucked away near trendy flats and student flats, this is a pleasant antidote to more commercial cafes, with a bookish community feel. Only tried the good white Americano this time, but hope to return to try snack and cake menu. Friendly lass on counter.

The best café in York for amazing vibes, good and well-priced coffee and the best warmest staff. This feels like being home but better - people are visibly happier when they walk out the door than when they come in and I believe this place has achieved a sort of magic. Also the toasties are very tasty!!

The best customer service and food quality around York. Fully recommended. A perfect space for work remotely, enjoy with your child, reading, chilling and/or just meet with friends.

A lovely quiet cafe in the centre of York. Good range of cakes and traybakes to choose from, and lots of hot drink options too. I recommend the hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows - superb! The calming atmosphere was enhanced by no music playing in the background - this was ideal for neuro-divergent individuals like myself. Recommended!
