York Buffet

I took my grandmother here because she was craving some Chinese food. And what better way than to go to a buffet! Overall, the food selection was pretty darn good. From what I have been to recently. Everything was hot, they were keeping everything very well stocked. Did a nice selection of different types of food, the Chinese food, they had a nice selection of fresh salad options, fruit, sushi, American food like pizza and chicken nuggets. And chicken nuggets. Overall, the restaurant was very clean and the staff were very attentive. I would recommend checking this place out if you haven't. And I would say I'm pretty picky when it comes to buffets. I know my grandmother loved it and she can't wait to go back! The value for what you get. You really honestly cannot beat. I think it was only $24 for the two of us at lunch and that is with one soda and one water.

The rich red walls and artwork were welcoming. For 14.99, the food quality was quite good. It was fresh with good taste - highly recommend the chicken curry and wood fired steak. Avoid salad bar, it's very generic and steals room for the good stuff. It loses a star because although the staff was masked, patrons are permitted to go up to the buffet unmasked, and it can get very busy. The biggest problem was no disposable gloves for tong touching. Everyone touching the same tongs in this climate is not safe. There is just no way to know who is vaccinated and who isnt. I had a great experience but until the pandemic is crushed, I highly recommend the restaurant mandate masks for the buffet, and provide cheap, disposible gloves for the serving tongs - 4 stars, B

Its a good price. The only thing is the 15 dollar tip they tried to charge without me knowing. We had met our friends inside and decided to sit with them 7 adults 1 babe. We were going to have separate bills as well but they put it all on 1. When I brought it up to the guy at the register he said anything over 6 people is a 15 dollar tip. I had him remove it and left cash on the table. Check receipt before checking out.

Decent selection, not as much as some places though. But they have a hibachi grill here. I tried it and it was cool, and delicious! Definitely want to go back for more of that lol but for 2 adults and a 5 year old on Saturday night it $47 which to me is alot considering other similar restaurants we've always left paying under $40. But not bad all in all.

Remains to be one of the worse buffets to eat at in York PA. The food was cold, selection was very limited. Lo mein was spaghetti with soy sauce. Chicken with broccoli was under cooked. Kids love Chinese food thought we would give it another try because well it cant always be bad right? Wrong. Good luck if you eat here.

Visted here on a Wednesday at 1 pm. I was quite disappointed. This place has gone downhill. The soups were luke warm at best. There were a lot of meat dishes missing(coconut chicken, honey chicken, pepper steak, chicken and broccoli) all gone from the buffet. There was a huge increase of things like mac n cheese, instant mashed potatoes, garlic bread etc. Basically cheap fillins . A real lack of meat dishes at tbis buffet. Sushi bar was Not fresh. The Wasabi paste was brown, the avocado eas turning brown inside the sushi rolls. The desert bar was dried out. And the cakes were freezer burnt. The ice cream freezer was disgusting. It needed cleaned out and the ice cream replaced. The salad bar looked like it had 3 day old veggies on it. The bathrooms, Dirty! They used to ask how old your child was and charge according to age. Not this time . I payed the exact same price for one adult and one child. Cost $33 for 2 buffet and 2 drinks. I never mind paying however for the quality of food (mostly carbs) lack of meat dishes, luke warm to cold food and dried out, old discolored food, I won't be returning. It's unsanitary and risky. I will drive 40 mins to Lancaster to Manor buffet which is absolutely amazing and 3 times the size of this place for the same price. Itbis a shame because we have always liked going here, but after 2 times in a row with the same issues, it was time to review.
