If like me you want to dine & support local (vegan) businesses then this is the spot! Granted you'd only be able to afford to visit one every so often as if is a tad on the expensive side! Perhaps they'd do well getting more people in the door if they had offers? I was the only person dining at 8pm on a Monday night so the service was super quick! The food was outstanding! The Faux Gras was tasty but could do with some salt/soy sauce to give it a bit more of a salty flavour. The Lobster Bisque & Mac were a combination made in heaven, I haven't had heart of palms made as well as these! Very flavoursome! The sticky toffee pudding wasn't hot enough, it came out slightly warm, I appreciate it's served with ice-cream which they probably don't want it to melt before it gets to the customer but again was very NERY tasty! Overall a highly recommended place to celebrate a special day, cost-wise not somewhere you'd go for a reasonably priced meal (3 courses with a large house white wine was £36.50)

Yum! What a treat to go to a vegan restaurant where everything is such a high standard. We lucked out and got a space on the terrace in the sunshine and had a lovely time. We really enjoyed our mains and sides (chickpea omelette, banana blossom, slaw and frickles) and we washed it down with sangria. The staff were great and really helpful. I really hope to go back to York soon so I can visit Source again!

One of the most beautiful meals I've ever eaten. I ordered the Mushroom Shawarma and it was incredible. An explosion of flavours. Succulent, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth mushrooms with a gorgeous creamy sauce, fresh crisp salad and a zingy tang from the pickles and slaw that tied the whole thing together perfectly. My partner ordered the ribs and said they were delicious too. I'm so pleased we decided to come here on our visit to York and can't wait to come back again. 10/10

100% Vegan cafe. Make sure you book a table as it is very popular!!! The food is awesome and the coffee is amazing! The staff are really friendly too! There are loads of options from sweet to savory. I had the full English which was great and my partner had the French toast, she absolutely loved it and if she wasn't full she would have had it again. We also had a side of corn bread because she had never had it before, that was lovely too. Very good experience definitely can't wait to go again.

A perfect breakfast in a really friendly, cosy place. My partner and I had only stayed for the night in York and wanted a vegan Brunch and we weren't disappointed! After only a short wait we were seated and our order came super quickly, although by this point we'd eyed so many of the other amazing looking dishes coming out of the kitchen we couldn't wait to get stuck in. We really enjoyed not only the food but also the service here as staff were very friendly, accommodating, and patient. Definitely recommend to York visitors.

This is a great 100% vegan place!! I'm lactose intolerant so I always have to stress about what's in what I order but here I can pick from the whole menu! My boyfriend isn't vegan but he got the full English and said he loved it! Super tasting food and very pleasant staff. Great for both vegans and non vegans!

First of all, excellent customer service. Very attentive staff who refilled water without even having to be asked, very quick and friendly. Even when they werent busy with customers, they were tidying the place constantly. Secondly, the food here is excellent. Loads of veggie choices with the option to go vegan. And very very tasty! We will be back! (maybe a tip for improvement. We got the nachos but the sauce was freezing cold, just out of fridge. It was lovely but it cooler the warm nachos down very quickly. Maybe the sauce toppings could be warmed slightly so there's not as much as a contrast) Pictured- vegan fried chicken
