Hideaway Bar & Grill

Have been told about this place foe years and always heard great things. Well everyone was right. Our waitress was mad chill!! My burger was epic. The bill for two people was so low I almost ordered double to take home. This is such a low key good vibe place if you wanna just chill and get into a conversation with some good food. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I been here a few times in the past and have always really enjoyed ourselves. The staff is always super nice and just down to earth nice people. We stopped in for a few beers last night and got a little hungry and ordered some butterfly shrimp. They were excellent. Decided to scrap our dinner plans and get takeout. Dinner was excellent! The bartender (owner?) mentioned the Asian zing wings are popular when we were ordering so we decided to get an order of them too. Freaking delicious, seriously the best wings I’ve had in a long long time, maybe ever. The lady who brought us our takeout even told us how she packed everything and where the sauces are, etc! We will definitely be back!

We’ve been going to hideaway for years and always love their food and the service but I placed a Togo order today and was told 20 minutes. 47 minutes later my husband is still sitting waiting for our food and when I call to ask about how much longer I can hear the two ladies and it sounds like they forgot to put my order in. Just frustrating after a long day of work and I get told 20 minutes yet it takes way longer instead and we didn’t even get a “sorry for the wait”, not like Im expecting a free soda or refund either, just wanted a damn apology for the wait. Definitely disappointed.

Thursday night $7 cheesesteaks and it came with fries. This was my second attempt at Thursday night cheesesteak night and I really wanted to hate this cheesesteak. Much to my delight, I did not hate this cheesesteak. I did have a roll breakage but this Cheesesteak won me over. French fries, pickle, $4 Sam Adams draft and live music; these things make for a good Thursday night in Wilmington. Overall, it was a very good experience. $11, I was down right giddy!

Last night we took our brother-in-law, Scott and nephew, Luke, from New York to Hideaway Bar & Grill for dinner. They were expecting your normal bar food, palatable. Scott and Luke ordered Fried onion rings for an appetizer and said they were very good. For dinner they ordered cheeseburgers. When they received their orders they couldn't believe how big and thick the hamburger was. Then, when they started eating they couldn't stop saying they'd never had such delicious food at a bar before and that it wasn't 'just bar food' but better than most restaurants! They were so stuffed and satisfied they said they couldn't eat another thing! Then our server, Jacki, brought out samples of desserts. Scott couldn't resist the Key Lime pie and Luke the piece of Lemoncello cake. They loved both! Scott said he "Wished his regular bar had such good food and service!" My husband, Gary, and I are very glad this is our bar!
