Bubbaque's - Williston

Food was tasty and didn't take long to get it served. Price is reasonable for what you receive. The only down side was that the fountain drink machine was down, so they had limited drinks available. Not their fault; nowdays, it takes a good while to get anything repaired. I got a lemonade and it was one of the best tasting ones I've had. Would eat here again.

Our table hadn't been cleaned properly, so I wound up with a little BBQ sauce on me. The staff was minimal and not very attentive...young girls. The prices are ridiculous for what the place is, so we opted for the salad bar at $11.99, which turned out to be nasty. None of the hot food was hot, so definitely a state violation there. The cooler foods weren't terrible, like the salad, tomatoes, cottage cheese, etc. Desserts were not very good. All of them had more or less a mousse type consistency. They charged me $2.49 for a glass of root beer, which isn't bad, but $3.49 for a glass of unsweetened tea? I heard this place wasn't great and I think they kinda of lived up to that pretty well. In the end, my wife and I both had upset stomachs and that I won't go into detail on. Needles to say, we are never, ever, ever going back. Oh, and when a male employee brought out a new tin of vegetables, he emptied the older tin into the new tin, spilling some vegetables out on the counter that everyone leans on and slides their dishes on. Yep, you guessed it. He simply scooped it up with his hands and dumped it back into the new tin of food. Wouldn't want it to go to waste!

I stopped for breakfast recently. Place was almost empty, just a handful of people. I now know why! It took forever to get my food. Well over 30 minutes. The food was saturated with and literally swimming in grease yet terribly undercooked! I had to ask for something else and literally pat the grease off what I did eat. No longer a fan of this restaurant! Sad, it's really gone down hill.

The food was cold, starting with the appetizer's. They changed and came good, the dinner was also cold even that the season was very good, but we didn't eat that also, because was to cold, the only was really good was the bread and the soda. They have me $10 discount, but after that I went to McDonald's because I was hungry. I don't recommend this place unless you want to spend your money.

Can you give a 1/2 star? Waitress took forever to show up, took order and EVENTUALLY another waitress brought my dinner. She passed by again and said oh I see you got your order. Pulled pork was VERY fatty with blubber chunks included. Bk. beans had just a mush flavor but at least the fries were hot and not burnt. Ice tea was "old" tasting too. Waitress never returned to check or refill drink. After waiting about 15 minutes after eating she reappeared and dropped the bill. So, both the food and service very, very bad. Don't expect to see me again in Williston. The location in Chiefland is a on average a 4-5 star, good friendly service and tasty food.
