Dubious as heard bad reports, but the food was lovely, service was friendly and efficient, they tweaked their menu to make my choices vegetarian for my family. I would definitely go again.

The Lantern has been in Welshpool for decades and has always been excellent. They have a good range of veggie dishes and are flexible in making ‘specials’ to order. Highly recommended.

I can easily give 4 full stars for this place. Price was good, food was good ( I had a sweet and sour chicken with boiled rice) , amount of food was also very good.

I've visited this place twice now to use the takeaway both times the food was excellent nice large portions very tasty and hot the lady behind the counter that served us was really polite and helpful the man in the back kitchen( possibly the boss ) was also polite and good to talk to. I've read some of the ( bad )reviews and to be honest I struggle to agree with them I suggest you try it for yourself and then give your own review.

Absolutely love this place! All the staff are very friendly, the food is delicious (especially the chicken chow main) Got the food pretty quick and it was a Saturday which is the busiest day so I was happy to get my food. I recommend going here if you go to Welshpool! You can sit in and eat too.
