Wayne Hills Diner

Food was excellent! Fried calamari was CRISP but tender - and VERY shareable. The buffalo chicken quesadillas were thick and generously filled - and (you guessed it) - shareable. The pork chops were broiled to perfection and I took one home. Portion sizes are a bit big. Service good. Cocktails a bit overpriced.

I stumbled across this diner for lunch. I called in my order of a vegetable stir fry and lentil soup. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I was greeted when I walked in and paid for the food. They charge a surcharge for credit cards fyi. One thing I have to complain about is the packing of the food. The vegetables were packed in a separate container and it collapsed when the rice was on top and it got all over the bag. I had to be super careful driving home. When I got in I dug in and I will say the lentil soup and the stir fry was very good. I enjoyed the meal.

BEWARE THIS PLACE IS SLY! Ordered two breakfast duos Without informing us, blueberry & chocolate chip pancakes was extra $$. She did inform us that turkey bacon was extra. OK. A meal that costs $9.99 nearly doubled to $17.48. NOT COOL. We were served smuckers ‘breakfast syrup’ so we asked for maple syrup. (Peep the little sauce cup in the pic.) Without informing us this was $2.59 extra. NOT COOL. Then we realized we weren’t served our toast that comes with the breakfast duo - she said we had to request this. WHAT???? There’s also fake Heinz ketchup. SLY. P.S. customers that don’t pay cash get a fee added to their receipt. This place is so deceitful, I wouldn’t recommend.

We moved to the area a while back and saw this place from the road. We saw the chrome and the huge sign and we knew we'd have to try it out. We always enjoy a good family diner and this looked like a local spot we'd love to try. After months of waiting we finally tried it out. First and foremost, it's exactly what I'd want it to be. It's a spot where people seem to congregate and enjoy a meal. We saw families with 4 generations sitting around a big table right next to clergy who looked like they'd just come out of Sunday mass. The waitresses are just the right amount of surly and the building had the right amount of darkness and needed repairs. The food is mediocre...which it should be. All burgers came out well done and the eggs where overcooked but it's a diner so...I mean, yeah. The menu is extensive and I'm sure it'll all be equally mediocrely prepared. Let's face it though, you're not coming for the quality of food, you're coming because it's a spot. It's a place you can make memories in and that's what it seems like to me. We're still very much looking for "our spot" but this feels like a contender.
