Rolf's

I found this place through Living Social. I wanted something new to try with my family and we had an awesome time. We went on a Sunday evening. On Sundays they have a painting instructor who gives classes for I believe $25 which is very unique! The town/area is gorgeous I'm excited to go in the spring to drive around and hang out before eating the delicious food at Rolf's. We had the onion and potatoe pancakes, the German meatballs [dont recall the German name at the moment], and the England Clam Chowder as our appetizers. We then had the BBQ platter and the roundetell I believe it's spelled as our main platter. For dessert we had the chocolate chip lava cake. Us 4 adults were thoroughly stuffed and satisfied, everything was delicious! The fact that they make most of their items homemade (if not all) really made them a winner in my eyes. Our server James was phenomenal- friendly, professional, knowledgeable, he took great care of us! I'm excited to return to eat on their beautiful patio and to shoot some pool with friends.

I often take my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is delicious and the team is welcoming and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we enjoy a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Had reservation for 9 people last night which was a SATURDAY! There was literally ONE waitress working. Needless to say, and NO reflection on the ONE waitress, service was horrible, NO potato pancakes (@ a German Restaurant??) as well as several other GERMAN dishes. An hour wait for a glass of water. Wrong wine. I could go on & on. This was a family get together (of German heritage) and had been looking forward to a nice German meal. We tried to make the best of it but will NEVER go back. We spent over well over $400 and yet walked away extremely disappointed. I wonder if their NYC location is run this way? I truly hope the owner reads this.
