We stopped there this past Saturday and were very disappointed with the service and food. It took over an hour to just to get part of our meal. The worst part of it was we had to fill out two order forms. One to give to the waitress and the other to keep at the table to ensure we received everything we ordered. It took the waitress/chef several attempts to give us the items we ordered. They gave us things we didn’t order and didn’t give us what we had ordered. All in all it took well over 2 hours to get everything we requested. Items as simple as a seaweed salad should have taken just minutes to prepare, instead it took well over an hour. The food was tolerable, but the service was horrible. Kodomo won’t have to worry about getting my order straight again because that’s the last time I’ll dine there.

I have been to this place several times. Usually not a bad experience, but service is typically slow. This time though, the service was abnormally slow. There were 3 of us, we got the all-you-can-eat sushi special. Food was decent, but we were there for over 2 hours and they only brought 1 round of food to the table. Not only that, but they had the A/C blasting in the middle of winter. It was 14° outside. We asked the wait staff if they could turn the heat on and they just said that it was broken. When we arrived, we were one of three tables that they had to worry about. They only had one waitress and two sushi chefs. After a while it began to become extremely busy. The waitress actually came up to us and told us that the sushi bar has become more busy and it’s going to take a long time for our food. We asked her to bring things out as they were ready, but even the kitchen food took a long time and came out cold. I fear to say that I will probably never go back. This place really needs to step up their game. They need more staff on duty especially on weeks like this between the holidays where everyone is home from school and it’s obviously going to be busier than normal.

The all you can eat lunch for $15 is definitely worth it. Service is good as well. I definitely recommend the rock shrimp, gyoza, hibachi dishes except for salmon...salmon is very dry. The udon, tempura and sushi rolls on that menu are also pretty good. They make it to order so also another plus.

The food is very expensive for what you get . The service is very slow and they never check up on you to see if there is anything you need. I usually go when there is almost nobody eating in the restaurant and yet end up with slow service. I understand that the all you can eat is still made to order but to wait 25 min for a drink or to order more food is unacceptable. I feel like the service is slow deliberately to make you not order anymore food due to not being able to spend 2-3 hours to get your money's worth. They charge $2.50 for a small soda with no refills.

We eat here weekly and love it! I do not believe all reviews I read because I feel some people are just complainers and like to complain about anything no matter what. Go to Komodo and experience if for yourself. Great food and Great Service. Sometimes the people that complain most are the people that have no money and can't afford the service. Great Restaurant we give you 6 Stars!

Food is good. But service is absolutely terrible.. They don't pay attention to what you order or forget your order all together. Our servers, yes servers (both of them) did not know what drink specials they offered. Even though they are on the specialty drink menu, we had to actually show them the menu to choose our drinks. Don't waste your time at this restaurant. The bathrooms are atrocious as well. Filthy and smelly. No soap available and the sink was covered in a disgusting slime scum from not being cleaned.

Terrible service and false advertising. My wife and I are on a low carb diet, so we decided to go out for some sashimi. This is not the first time I have been here either. Ive been as steady as a customer can be who lives about 45 minutes away for the last year or so. I usually go with about 5 - 10 people at a time. We both loved this place and its always been an amazing experience every time we have gone. But this last trip will be the time we go to this business. We went for the 25$ "All You Can Eat"(AYCE). As the name and the menu implies its all you can eat without restrictions, except for no waste of food, at least its been that way ever since we have gone there. We both ordered one plate of sashimi to share, about 35 -40 pieces. The food was decent for a AYCE. We decided to order more sashimi but we were told that it was not allowed. No where on the menu does it say that there is a restriction, nor were we told when we sat down. The manager told us we had to order off the rest of the menu, fried foods, sushi or rolls first before we could order more sashimi. Since we were paying for the "AYCE" I told the manager that her response was unreasonable and we did not want to eat anything else off the menu but the fish. The manager left to talk with the owner who decided not to speak with us even though we could see him. His response was that two orders of sashimi in a row was not profitable for the business and not allowed for the AYCE. I was presented with two choices, one was yet again ordering off the rest of the menu or the second choice was that the second order of sashimi we ordered would be at a la carte pricing. Disgusted at the second offer, we refused both offers and decided to pay and go. We argued yet again that since we ordered the AYCE and only had one plate of food, but were denied any more, we should not have to pay full price. Thankfully the manager charged us 1 1/2 dinners instead of full price. Also while were we arguing about the AYCE, a second table was sat next to us and the waitress did not express to them that you could not order two plates of sashimi in a row. So it seems like the company policy is that they will stop the AYCE when they realize a party will not make them any profit. TL/DR Advertised as all you can eat, with the only restriction on the menu stating dont waste food. Ordered one plate of sashimi and decided to order another, but was denied because they would not make any profit.
