Fairy Cakes

I needed a special order for a wedding where we had a guest who had potato and gluten allergies as well as being vegan. I wanted the guest feel included by making sure she had something to enjoy where she didn't feel like the odd one out due to her dietary requirements. Not only did Fairy Cakes facilitate this request and made them in time with a few days notice, the cupcakes were absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed them and would have never known they were vegan and gluten free. Excellent service and also amazing cupcakes. My only regret is not getting a photo of the cupcakes.

I came up with the idea of bringing cupcakes to my son's school for his birthday on the day before, was half giving up, but the owner willingly accepted to make 30 bithday cupcakes in a day! What I really appreciated was they offer not only nut free cupcakes but also they could pack them individually. Super school kids friendly! Highly recommended!

So very tasty! all dairy free and nut free. Best cheesecake (mini ones too so you dont have to share), not too sweet. She makes such fantastic custom birthday cakes. and now perogies! incredible selection of flavours in them, easily my favourite. of course the cupcakes are adorable and lots of flavours like rootbeer even. Perfect whenever its your turn to bring the treats to work/office. Great value. Great service.

Amazing vegan, nut free bakery. They were able to make my cupcake order with only one day of notice which was amazing. I truly and deeply appreciate a nut free bakery. It's such a treat to be able to have cupcakes from a bakery without the worry of cross contamination with nuts. Their cupcakes were amazing and everyone loved them! So happy this place exists, will definitely be back next time I need some more treats. :)

These are the best vegan cupcakes I've ever had, hands down. Originally I was skeptical as I'm not vegan myself, however was given a recommendation to try them out. They are the most balanced cupcakes, where the frosting is not overly sweet or sugar grainy. The cupcake base has the perfect texture and moistness, creating a suprisingly perfectly balanced bite. I've had just about every flavour and loved them all, would definitely be catering from them in future.

Fairy Cakes is a hidden gem in the nook of North Fraser street. With such a vast selection of ever-changing treats, there’s always something for everyone. What I like most is how they’ve put such a unique flair on each dessert. It makes the experience of picking and choosing what you want so much more fun! This bakery holds such warmth and radiance, and always feels welcoming to walk into. I tried their Toffee Magic Bar, Red Velvet Coffee Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Fairy-O’s. It felt like vegan heaven to have so many great options to choose from! The Toffee Magic Bar is medley of toffee, cream cheese, marshmallows, WowButter, and chocolate. It has a dense, crumbly base with a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth top layer that, when combined as a whole, creates an interesting texture and a sweet, sweet taste! The Red Velvet Coffee Cake, a new personal favourite, is a deliciously moist cake with a crunchy top layer and creamy icing in between to tie it all together. The cake as a whole is very well-balanced, light, and of course has that unique, eye-catching presentation to it, as a red velvet cake does. The Chocolate Chip Cookie, the most common of desserts, is a light, chewy cookie with sparse chocolate chips and an enticing flavour. You never get a bite full of just plain chocolate, which is a plus because the plain batter is just so yummy. Buttery and soft, these cookies are a simply delicious treat. As for their classic Fairy-O’s, they hold such a lovely flavour. On the sweeter side of things, these toffee chocolate ganache tarts are a great treat that ooze Autumn flavour. Crumbly with a hint of crunchy toffee base, these yummy tarts are topped with a thin layer of delicious chocolate and a swirl of whipped cream to top it all off. A near-perfect little bite sized dessert! With something different always on the menu, it’s made me eager to stop by again soon to try my chances at something new. What an exciting collection of yummy vegan treats!
