Five Guys

I enjoy eating at this place quite a bit. They always do a great job with the burgers and orders for how many toppings they give you the option of getting. Milkshakes are also delicious. I had their cajun fries and they were very tasty. I really like they feel the bag all the way up with fries when they are done making your food.

I went to Five guys last week, Tuesday evening I believe it was. I just wanted their famous French fries, known for quality, flavor, and QUANTITY. Let's face it, they are known for the extras in the bag, the generous portion I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I've grown accustomed to. Well, let's be clear, those days are OVER! I ordered a medium, knowing that would be more than I needed and sure to satisfy my french fry craving. Big disappointing mistake. I got less than half the normal amount of fries. My cup wasn't full, and it surely did not "runneth over!" I wish I could say it was a one time experience but my bestie confirmed by the photo of her sad sack of fries, that this is the new norm. I'm sorry but $4.00 is steep for potatoes!! I will be satisfying my French fry craving elsewhere and I have found my new spot already!!

I seriously think this is the best burger I've ever had. And I guarantee it is the best burger I've had in this area. I love the bacon cheeseburger with mayo, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and jalapenos. I wish I could eat one every day but my jeans won't let me. If it's your first time be warned, the bacon cheeseburger might seem pricey but a lot less so when you realize it comes with two patties. If you're really trying to prove a point, I'd add on the cajun fries. They always use fresh cut potatoes and they are always cooked perfectly. But again be warned, the portions are bigger than you might anticipate. No what size you order it seems standard practice for them to fill the fry container and them hook you up with extra that overflow into your bag. If you love a good burger , go here and they'll give you a great one.

Recently move from Portage to Valparaiso, wish the five guys there could of come with me...3rd time trying to give the benefit of the doubt to Valpo, but this time I had to work over, hubby grabbed 5 guys for dinner... they got my burger wrong no surprise there...(I have allergies) because of this my hubby had to go back and get it replaced so now his burger is cold, fries are cold all because they couldn't read a ticket and will only replace my sandwich... You have lost a regular customer...

I heard so much about this place and my 1st visit was just so-so.The burger and dog were okay, but they both could have been warmer. I expected a big selection of specialty burgers, which they didn't have and no chilli cheese fries! What's up with that?! I might give them another shot. However, based on my 1st experience here, Meatheads in Munster,IN is way better!
