Cafe 22

They were mostly empty and it took 20 minutes to get our sandwiches. Wife ordered the salami sandwich and it was served hot. Became a mess of grease. I ordered the Cuban and was not happy. Menu says it has Dijon mustard but it was a horseradish mustard. Also came with mayo on it but that was not listed on the menu. And because the mayo was put on before the sandwich was heated it was hot. Also the girl at the register kept playing with her hair and then handling food with out washing or putting on gloves. Do not plan on returning.

Had a chance to eat there for the first time today. Had the tuna melt and it was so good. Ran me about $12. A little more than I enjoy paying for a sandwich cuz I'm spoiled by Safeway, but the sandwich was bigger and better. The ambiance is super chill and cozy. A good spot for lunch meetings. Friendly employees too. The lunch menu is limited to sandwiches, wraps, and sides. Salads would be a nice addition. What would make this place better? A slightly thinner paper to wrap their sandwiches with! It's a little hard to use that thick paper and if you're like me and like your sandwiches and burgers half wrapped while you eat than you won't be happy about that lol.

Stumbled upon Cafe 22 when my daughter had to be in Vallejo for the day. Glad we did. The vibe was very local and the staff was really friendly. I had the Roast Beef Sandwich and my daughter had the Turkey Avocado Sandwich. Both were huge. In fact, if you could have TOO much meat, came pretty close. We sat outside in the patio which was really pleasant. All-in-all, a great place that would def revisit should we find ourselves hungry in Vallejo again!
