Joy Sushi

Me and my family went here for dinner and it exceeded our expectations. We started with the edamame and cucumber salad and they were delicious. We ordered 6 rolls to split between the 4 of us (which was the perfect amount) and each of them were unique and fantastic. I highly recommend the Black Rice Monster Roll. We finished the night with Mango, Green Tea, and Red Bean Mochi. They were all very flavorful and were far superior to any other mochi I've ever tasted. The staff was friendly and made plenty of jokes. The food came quickly and was prepared at the sushi counter just a few feet away. The experience and the food couldn't have been any better. I'd say it was the best sushi I've ever had. Don't let the size or location of the restaurant throw you off.

We went for dinner last night to this little hidden gem next to Safeway in West Vail. They were quite busy but were able to seat us quickly. We sat outside to enjoy the cool air. A server appeared and brought us bottled water. I didn't get her name, but we later discovered she'd only been working there a few days. She was excellent! She recommended a couple of red wines to us per our request and we ordered a bottle of Cab that was fantastic. We marked what we wanted on a sheet and the server recommended a super fresh tuna belly, so we had that served first with some seaweed salad and edamame. Our rolls came out quickly. It was all so good and so fresh. The place isn't really fancy but I truly care more about the quality of the food and the service, both which were 5+ stars. They seem to do a lot of takeout as well and it all comes out fast. You really get your money's worth and then some for the excellent food quality and freshness and happy service.
