Chimera

Chimera is a classic spot for me: plenty of veggie options, coffee & juice, crunchy sprouts, homemade everything, shredded carrots, good stuff. And it suffers from some of the same issues, namely banker's hours mixed with inconsistent late night (til 8pm!) experimentation, resulting in infrequent visits. I'd love to eat there more but I am a bit of a one meal a day dinner person and so it just never works out. Cause for real, the pictured veggie burger is one of the BEST I've HAD, like across the whole dang world. Chimera, you're like the super pretty smart girl that would be good for me, so I have a huge crush but I just can't get together with her. She's always studying.

Hip spot with large windows, cool decor and art on the walls. It’s counter ordering with food delivered to your table, unless you order a breakfast burrito (they are pre-made, kept warm at the register wrapped in foil). My breakfast tacos were delicious!! (Order 2-they’re not very big) I also ordered a fresh juice which was fantastic. (2 tacos, breakfast burrito and juice was around $30) The food and coffee menus are not extensive but the choices all sounded delicious! It was a late Saturday morning…we got the last table, but tables turned pretty quickly. It was pretty warm out but they do have a handful of outside tables too. It took quite a long time to get the food, but it was worth the wait. There was a cart at the front with a self-serve water bar and condiments like Cholula. Great little spot 👍🏼
