Amante Pizza

It is a little over priced for quality. The chicken parmesan wings were dry and lacked flavor. The honey BBQ wings were basic. The meat lovers pizza had a good portion of meat, but needed a little more sauce. I wish the coupons had more than just cheese pizza options. Overall I wouldn't recommend it and I wont buy again.

This is actually a review of Domino's that I just completed. It shows how the quality and quantity that Amante Pizza offers for the price far exceeds them. Happy reading and thank you Amante for always coming through! Our Domino's order: Large (14") "hand tossed" Cheeseburger 'specialty' pizza, 8- piece boneless chicken, 1 stuffed cheesy bread and 8 dipping sauces (prepackaged - 2 marinara, 3 blue cheese, 1 ranch and 2 garlic) Just 4-small slices for leftovers Total: $63.60 including delivery and 20% tip. Although everything came hot and tasted good, the boneless chicken wings were pitifully small with no sauce, and there were not a a large amount of toppings on the pizza (meat toppings were skimpy to say the least) The stuffed cheesy bread was very good though. For the entire price we paid there, for $5 more we get twice the amount of food from Amante Pizza just a couple of blocks from Domino's... From Amante's we order: 18" Extra Large pizza with 4 added extra topping (true hand tossed crust with a *generous* amount of toppings - overall the same price as Domino's), 12 mild boneless wings (huge and well sauced) , 6 mozzarella sticks (fat and stringy), and a Sausage Stromboli (plump, handmade, stuffed and cheesy) ...included is a large amount of homemade marinara dipping sauce. Everything is delicious and filling with plenty of leftovers! Total: $68.21, including delivery and larger tip! Additionally it only takes 1/2 hour *MAX* for a piping hot delivery of all that food from Amante and it took Dominos 1 hour for a significantly smaller amount of food. We ordered from Domino's at the same time and day we normally order from Amante, so that was not the reason for the long wait... In conclusion - we wanted to try the new pizza at Dominos and we did but were not overly impressed as we hoped. The cost vs. quantity/quality for what we got was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately for Domino's it was an overall fail and we will be going back to higher quality/quantity for the same price at Amante Pizza!

RUDE STAFF. Ordered a sub for delivery, received the wrong one. When we called to ask for the right one, the man on the phone didn’t apologize and acted like he “didn’t know what we wanted him to do”. We asked for them to bring us the right sub and he told us we had to give the incorrect sub BACK (during a pandemic) AND he doesn’t know when it’ll get to us. Could be an hour. (Initial delivery took 15 minutes). He kept pausing like he was expecting us to say nevermind. All they had to do was say sorry and bring us our correct order, which we paid cash for, so we couldn’t get a refund. Ultimately they offered no solution, so we had to ask for a credit. He said he’ll “make note” of that. Which really means, yeah, not gonna happen. We ordered from them pretty often and they’ve lost our business. The food there is decent, customer service is awful.

My partner and I order from here a lot because she's gluten free and it's one of the only places that has a gf pizza that isn't super exorbitant and delivers. They always deliver ahead of schedule and we've never had any issues with them. The other day we ordered after a long day of being outside in the cold. The order came a little later than usual, but still well within the timeframe we were given. The gf pizza -- the most important part of the order and the reason we order from Amante -- was perfect. The stuff that I, the glutinous one, ordered, was completely wrong. When the delivery guy dropped everything off he apologized for being late and explained he'd had issues with the orders at the previous delivery. I'm assuming this poor dude just got handed a bunch of mis-matched orders and was left to his own devices upon discovering the orders were amiss. I ate the food I was delivered and enjoyed it and continued watching TV. Amante's called a while later and were insistent on sending another guy out to bring the stuff I ordered. Thing is, at this point it was very late, I'd already eaten, and frankly the thought of someone coming out to deliver a thing without getting tip (while being a front-line worker during a pandemic and likely not receiving hazard pay -- also I didn't have any cash) really bummed me out. I declined and assured them they still had my business anyway. The guy I spoke to on the phone was super insistent and really wanted to make things right. Having worked in the service industry and food service for a long time, I really appreciate that. I've been in the exact same position before and handled it with far less aplomb. We settled on a free desert the next time I order. Fine by me. Ultimately Amante -- and all the other grocery store workers, gas station employees, and the front and back of house at every restaurant out there that's struggling -- does more for you and your community than 99.9% of all the politicians that purport to represent you. Despite getting something other than what I ordered, this whole experience only made me respect Amante even more. I expect to be ordering from here for as long as I live in the area.
