Locally owned,family friendly spot in the heart of downtown Toledo.Great vibe and decor to look at.Any place that plays Bob Marley,Buddy Guy ,Stevie Ray Vaughn and Santana on the sound system is golden in my book.Oh...and the food was excellent. I had the street taco sampler going with Carne asada,and marinated pork.Tender meat,with a balanced amount of onion and cilantro. Just right. The chips and guacamole were perfect,chips are made fresh to order.I tried the rice which came with my wife's order and was impressed with the flavor.I could lunch on just a bowl of that and be happy. Looking forward to trying more on thier menu.Service was friendly and the cook even came out to check on our satisfaction.

This is my new favourite spot in Toledo! (& beyond, let’s be honest). And did you hear they’re opening a taco truck?! The service? Friendly, fast, very sweet, makes you feel like home if home had tacos and desserts and you never had to do the dishes The food? Delicious! Not at all like home- much much better. The atmosphere? Way neat! Gorgeous art, very cool vibe. Impress a date (or impress yourself) OR get some espresso drinks to fuel you while you work away (plenty of spots to plug in). Just whatever you do! Tip well. They deserve it.

I've visited the Low Rider cafe' twice in the last month. Both times were for dinner. The food is delicious and authentic! The service is casual and relaxed. Everyone is pleasant. The location is great downtown. Plenty of metered parking behind the building on Ontario. Can't wait to go back!!! Most of Toledo's Mexican restaurant selections are disappointing and lack flavor. Keep in mind they don't serve alcohol.
