Nar Mediterranean Grill

A wonderful fast casual Mediterranean grill. Many great, healthy options to choose from - bowls and wraps - and a plethora of fresh ingredients for toppings. Impressively, the meat was cooked to order and at the doneness level of my choosing. The grape leaves were delicious and I especially recommend them with the special got sauce. I hope to be back soon!

Nar is a newer place in town in the Westgate next to Chipotle. It is a decent spot—basically a Mediterranean chipotle. You can create your own bowl or choose from some options they have put together on the menu. I ordered the Beef Schwarma bowl. It has a hummus base with beef in the middle, pickles, red onions, and feta cheese. The meat was not hot. However they have amazing fries. They remind me of waffle style Arby’s fries. If I go back, it’ll probably be for the fries.

I like their food, it is very fresh and flavorful. Get a bowl or a wrap. Toppings are very generous and their pita bread is made in house. Sometimes the rice in the bowls is dried out too much. I have had this happen a few times. The falafel wrap is one of my favorites and consistently good. Other than the rice issue my only complaint/feedback is that they don't give nearly enough pita bread for their side of hummus. One small round piece of pita bread for an entire bowl of hummus is NOT adequate. It should come standard with at least 3-4 pieces. And if you pay for extra bread you should get more than one piece. Just my opinion and the reason for only 4 stars.

I placed an order Saturday Sept 11, 2021 at 7:05 p.m. through the website, and went up 20 minutes later to pick up my order. Restaurant was closed up with hours posted showing they close at 8:30 everyday...so why was it closed at 7:20? And more important, why was my money taken and still nobody is answering the phone (Monday, Sept 13th from 10:45 a.m. until now)? If you are closed, why would you allow for orders to be made? I will never return after this experience, which is a shame because I never had a bad experience with Nar before. Update: as of September 16th I have been told by their employee and management I would have my refund by Tuesday Sept 14th, and of course I didn't get it. I have been given the runaround by management and by the employees, apparently they have no problem taking your money even when the restaurant is closed, but good luck getting it back when they keep pushing you off and hoping you just give up on asking. They don't seem to understand that taking someone's money in exchange for goods or services is STEALING unless you receive the product or service. This is the worst experience I've had with a restaurant. I highly recommend you don't waste your money here because who knows if they'll even be open for you to receive your order.

Did this place change it's hours? It lists 10PM closing time but I've went to order twice at 9 & once at 20 after but the page lists that it's not taking orders, annoying. Edit: Too bad about the change in hours, I liked most of the food but work 3rd & next to never eat that early, this city needs more places that are open to at least 10PM, I'm sick of pizza. :-/
