Rancho Chico

I always would like to stop rancho chico and get a quick lunch … food is not authentic at all it’s just cheap food … lately it’s been tasting like jail food and picked up some enchiladas today and there was a cockroach in my rice …. I will never… again eat here … that is absolutely disgusting and I swear while I was waiting on my food I saw the chef heat up my rice and beans IN the Togo box in the MICROWAVE! That’s it….

I went in expecting an average Mexican restaurant, and it met up with my expectations. Firstly, the staple crop of Mexican restaurants (chips and salsa) tasted mediocre. Nothing above the average. I ordered a combination (#10 I believe) which was 2 enchiladas filled with fajita-like veggies and Mexican rice and beans on the side. The enchiladas tasted pretty good (were also nice and piping hot) but were nothing expectional. The Mexican rice was okay but could have used more seasoning. The beans tasted average too. The service was pretty average too. All that said and done, the reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the queso. Everything seems average until I tried some of their special queso. The cheesy taste in my mouth with a warm tortilla chip was just plain delicious. Conclusion: this is your average Mexican restaurant. But if you go there, definitely try the queso.

We go here usually once a week and we absolutely love it. The queso and frozen margaritas are AMAZING! I usually order fajitas or the Pollo con Queso, and my husband orders the Carne Asada or El Patron. The food is consistently good and the servers are always friendly and efficient. The prices are very reasonable too!

I am a regular customer of Rancho Chico Tequesta, my family and I used to eat there, today as I was working in Stuart, I decided to have lunch at Rancho Chico de Stuart, hoping to have the same service that is given to me in Tequesta, to my surprise, I went served by a waitress who looked me up and down when entering, handed me the menu in a rude way, didn't offer me the starter chips as usual and at no time asked me if I needed anything, my soda ran out and also didn't I was offered a refill, finally, when asking for the bill, I waited for something around five minutes. I thought it was fair not to provide any type of TIP for this girl, and I even wrote it on the card receipt. "Bad Service from the waitress"
