Chaiko Tapas

Consistently disappointing. This was $42! A "sampler" that was essentially a few bits and bobs bumping around in a container with no dipping sauces, and a mini crispy beef (didn't even come with rice). Maybe the dining in experience is better, but after a couple of disappointing orders, I won't be getting from here again.

The food was amazing, all of it. It was pricey, but well worth the cost. We had a table reservation but still had to wait about 10 minutes. The wait staff were all pleasant. So why didn't I give them 5 stars? They should have timed the main course to come out after we finished our appetizers. The main courses came out when we were half way through our hot appetizers and we had to decide which to eat first and which to eat cold. To try to eat everything while it was a least warm, I ate quickly which detracted from the otherwise high end dining experience. The poor delivery timing was disappointing for what is a very high end restaurant in every other way. This was our first time at Estihana Teaneck. Next time when we place our orders we will ask that they delay the main courses until we have finished our appetizers. We would much rather have a break between courses and then have to choose which course to get cold.

Took my wife and family for a birthday party. "crab" cakes were great! Spring rolls and crispy beef was good. Steaks were bad. Ribs were horrible, burnt, no flavor. The fried chicken was well done and dry. The mashed potatoes were dry and old. the Noodles my daughter order were tasteless. Service was terrible. We were there at 3pm. the place was fairly empty but they just didn't seem to care about us. I had to go ask the waitress for forks, plates, salt. Was not cheap. I do not plan to return.

It's ok. The seared tuna wasn't really cooked properly. The salad that came with both entrees was limp and hardly edible. The soup comes in a gigantic bowl, almost as if it's a sadistic prank on the part of the chef. Who can eat soup from a tureen? But the oxtail was acceptable and despite the clownish delivery system the soup was tasty enough. Three stars. Barely.

Waited 45 minutes to seated because of overbooking “technical difficulties”. As a group of people we should have at least been told that we needed to wait. There was no one who to talk too and there was not enough space for our group despite being told there was enough. We just left. After seating us they told they don’t have additional seating. The manager sarcastically waved good bye as we walked out. Don’t ever come here with a group.
