Big Easy Bar

I was SO surprised by Big Easy Bar this weekend. I saw on Instagram that they have Lost Creek oysters so I went to their menu and saw they slow roast them flash fry their wings and use a dry rub, so I decided to give this place a shot. My husband and I popped in on Saturday and had oysters and the wings. The rub was fantastic and honestly, these are tied with Hattricks for our favorite wings in town. The bartenders were all great. The cocktail menu is great as well. We will definitely be back soon for more wings!!

For 8 yrs, a bunch of us veterans have been meeting up on Vets weekend. This time, at this bar, Johnnie asked (without us offering) if we were vets. We said yes and he gave us a round of shots. I was so impressed and respected the fact that he would even acknowledge us. The bar was great regardless and we had smoked old fashioneds and thoughroughly enjoyed all of it! Definitely worth the stop!

The food was great. The service may leave you with a bad taste in your mouth about the restaurant. The vibe is very relaxing. Although the owners my feel like this is a dishonest review. It is what it is. Instead of criticizing a honest review. Take it into consideration and train your staff in better customer service.

I wanted gator bites, and I noticed it was on the menu. I decided to visit on a Sunday during brunch time, and they weren’t busy. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. I got two drinks: one was a tequila old fashioned and the other was a fruity drink (can’t remember the name). The gator bites were surprisingly good! They were flavorful and the sauce added to the flavor. I’d definitely visit again!

Cool personable staff, amazing food, and great drinks! While on vacation wondering around Ybor City we came upon Big Easy. The frozen drink machines caught our eye but the shrimp grits, Po boy sandwich, and crab rangoon chip and dip completely took us by surprise...OMG so delicious! 😋 Vowed to return. Sadly they told me us this is the only location, definitely the kind of hip and friendly environment with pool tables plus good music that should be shared with more cities. You guys are on to something, so consider Detroit next!!
