Assini Pizza

Ordered the calamari dinner and fresh tiger prawn dinner. The calamari portion was huge and the tiger prawns were melt in your mouth. The potatoes were mediocre but the rice was good. The Greek salad that came with the dinner was amazing with their homemade dressing, we even brought a jar home which they sell. The owner Vic was serving us all night and making sure we had everything we needed. We will return and bring friends to enjoy this great place!

What a friendly, tasty, cozy, Greek restaurant. I was greeted by the owner who served us and asked him to recommend a menu item that best captures a traditional greek dish. He recommended the lamb shoulder and I ordered it, my wife ordered prawn souvlaki and have included pictures of both. The meal started with a greek salad which did not disappoint- very nice dressing with feta, kalamata olive, onion, tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber. Next came the main course, lamb shoulder with rice pilaf, lemon roasted potato, veggies, and a lemon wedge. All was very delicious and portions were super generous. I enjoyed the house white wine from the Chaberton estate winery tasted like Sauvignon Blanc but might have been a blend. It paired very well with the meal. And for dessert I had a cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. It was a perfect ending. The ambience and decor of the dining area felt like a Greek family story where every item/picture had some memory and meaning. I enjoyed the conversation with the owner as he checked on us. I would highly recommend this place to those seeking some delicious Greek food.

We ordered a Greek Pizza tonight. When I arrived to pick it up I was greeted by the very friendly and welcoming owner who chatted with me, wanting to know how I was doing and how my day was....very impressive. I was even more impressed when I got home - the pizza was amazing. It was loaded with all the ingredients, beautiful tomatoes, fresh vegetables - we devoured it! The only downside to our order is that there aren't any leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend this place!

I’m a long time Surrey resident so I’m a little ashamed that I’d never tried this restaurant before. I went here with my wife for an anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very cozy and European. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. And the service from Vick and his staff was phenomenal. Best lamb I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go again and couldn’t recommend it more.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday dinner last weekend. Finally after 2 years of lock down. Had over 17 people for dinner. We ordered take out. The food was absolutely great! Everyone commented on how great the food was. My sisters who never takes food home took the chicken souvlaki home. Same with my brothers took home pizzas. After everyone left there was no more food which we usually have lots of food left over from the other restaurant. We also loved their very own House Greek salad dressing. Our school recently did a teacher appreciation lunch with Assinis Greek Restaurant and were super impressed. We highly recommend Assinis for catering. There was so much food left over, the teachers had lunch for the following 2 days! Not to mention the food got rave reviews, ordering was a breeze, and they delivered! Thanks Assinis!
