Va Bene

It was busy Saturday early evening around 6pm. I emailed (can't phone as we are deaf) asking if we can book a table but heard nothing so turned up on the spot in case. Yes we got a table. The service was bit disappointing but the food was excellent and we enjoyed the food. We ordered olives which didn't arrive before starters.. We had to ask for them during starters! Then later we ordered Liqueur coffee.. Mine arrived OK but my partners didn't so we again asked where his was.. Turned out they didn't have the alcohol he wanted but WHY they didn't come and tell us?! He could have alternative alcohol... We wonder if your staff are afraid to communicate with deaf people?! If this is the case.. They need to do deaf awareness course...

Staff were welcoming and nicely attentive, drinks order taken promptly and given time to decide what we wanted to order (loads of lovely things to choose from, even given I am a vegetarian), starter arrived quickly, our mains came out and food was freshly made, piping hot and delicious. Lovely atmosphere, great staff-definitely worth a visit, think that, like us, you'll want to go back!! Thank you Va Bene for a truly lovely night. We shall return, and will definitely be recommending you to friends.

Absolutely amazing I had the garlic bread to nibble on, which is made using the tastiest sourdough Then the crab pate and shared a starter lasagne The pate was lick the knife good but the lasagne oh my life omg foodgasm good Then on recommendation I had the king prawn risotto The largest king prawns all so fresh and tasty I would have loved to try dessert but I was just to full I have to go back Amazing value for money just exceptional

My daughter and her work colleagues booked to go to this place for 16 people as we were told it was good, however we arrived and was seated we did not get any prices for drinks only wine. Later on that night we waited for our food and understand the wait would be long but the way the young girls had their back turned to us all night and looking miserable just WASN’T ON ! They forgot 2 main courses and brought out the wrong ones which was then remade. Two puddings was missing Also they wouldn’t let us split our bill we also gave them the money which was over and they still wanted more money . We opened our Secret Santa presents and we was told to clean our wrappers up immediately
