Came here for dinner, and have a couple of thoughts. First, the food was good. Our server was courteous and prompt.
We made a reservation ahead of time, and despite two of our party members being 5 minutes behind us, they somewhat rudely told us we couldn’t be seated.
Not to mention, this restaurant resides within Dane County which is still under a mask mandate. We did not see a single employee wearing a mask. Vaccination status and any other precautions aside, that does not exempt any establishment within Dane county from foregoing wearing masks indoors. This was posted by another reviewer a month ago, to which the owners brushed this off. I am disappointed to see that this has continued.
Sharing these thoughts for others to consider when selecting a location to eat.

Springers is best place to go for terrific Wisconsin food from cheese curds, hamburgers, and fish fry. Their menu is large and all of it is good. Great beer on tap and bottles. Service is great - we had Jordan this time who was friendly and very attentive and responsive. And the view of the lake and being able to eat outside is the best.

Went for the first time to this beautiful establishment. The view was outstanding and the fish fry above average. Also had some appetizers so I could not have been happier. Plus the people I was with made it all worthwhile

Favorite place for a sour old fashioned & fish fry — be prepared to wait on Fridays, but 100% worth it. Bartenders are always busy yet friendly & good with orders. Every experience here has made me want to come back.

I had 3 pcs fish with fries and Cole slaw . Delicious fleshly cooked food. Good size portions of food. Beautiful lake. Nice and friendly staff 👌 I highly recommend

They had a neat variety of outdoor seating for dining. The food was good. The children's menu had a good variety options as well. The view of Lake Kegonsa was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

We were camping in Stoughton last weekend with a fairly large group and decided to eat out for one of our friend's birthday on Saturday night. The locals all swore that Springers was great, plus it was right down the road so we decided to give it a try. Wow, what a mistake. This place was the lamest excuse for a "supper club" I've ever been to, I almost don't even know where to begin with this review...but I'll try.
The location is pretty decent, right on the water and there was outdoor seating so you can dine while overlooking the lake, however we sat inside due to seating constraints. That's about where the good part of this review ends. We had a party of 18 people which I can't imagine is that out of the ordinary for a place like this. The waitress came by and took our orders (we had already grabbed drinks at the bar when we arrived). We (the five people I was footing the bill for) ordered the gator bites and the pulled pork wontons for appetizers along with the cajun catfish, trout and prime rib for the main course. The wontons were a solid mediocre at best, but the gator bites were totally raw in the middle. Like not cooked at all. All 18 meals came out at the same time about seven minutes after the appetizers which I found slightly suspect, now I know why. Literally every person's meal was garbage. The cajun catfish was over seasoned and under cooked (both orders) as was the trout, almost everyone else ordered the prime rib and every single order was cooked incorrectly, as in RAW! The waitress brings out this king cut of prime rib which was supposed to be medium rare and I swear this thing mooed at me! It was quite obviously extremely rare as were all other cuts, plus they had a funky smell to them. When we brought this up to the waitress she had no idea how to respond or correct the issue. When we mentioned that the gator bites needed to be removed from the check since we sent them back to avoid eating raw food she tells us that she can maybe refund us for half of them. LOL, I almost lost my sh*t at that point, but my wife cut me off before I could lay into her. Nevertheless she did finally take that off the bill.
I'm not sure if they were having a bad night or what but cooking 18 meals wrong in one sitting told me all I needed to know about this place. We will definitely not be returning here ever again and I honestly cannot fathom how anyone would choose to eat here. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. A Jack's pizza from the campground would have been a more satisfying meal.
