Only ordered here as it was a Sunday and Fish Face was closed. Having seen some of the reviews, and knowing that Fish Face is rated so highly without being great itself, I honestly expected the worst, but I was actually so pleasantly surprised. The chips were pretty decent (much of a muchness with others), but the Fish was so so good, the batter was so light and crispy, like it is supposed to be. My only regret was not ordering a large.
Portion sizes are smaller than Fish Face, despite costing more, but the difference in quality of the fish was 100% worth it.
Don't know, if I just got lucky, and got it on a good day, but I will be ordering again here soon (probably a bigger order when family come to visit), and I'll update this review accordingly.
Addition: Have ordered from here a few times since my initial review above, and the fish has always been very good. So, certainly was not a 1 off.

Wow wow wow brilliant fresh cod battered to perfection melt in your mouth experience and same goes for the chips cooked to perfection I had to sides added to my regular meal that was more like a large my add ons where curry sauce and mash peas good but the fish amazing 10/10 experience price for a regular that was more like a large was fair £9.00 for the set cod and chips £2 per large portions of curry and peas would definitely recommend

Only had chips from here so far, but I would say they were the best chips from a chip shop, I have ever tasted. I will return.

Fantastic fish and chips. Best I’ve had in a long time. Shame I’m not local or these guys would have a regular customer. Could be worth the occasional day out 🤔

I think this is the best dish and chips in town now. I can only tall about walk in fish and chips. The curry saucewas great . Eat here.

I visit this shop regularly and I find the portions are very well sized! They have friendly staff and cook food to fresh which makes all the difference. Delivery times are also good and when food arrives is still very warm! In all very good restaurant and good service!
