Le Pavillon

Got their first thing when they opened. The staff are extremely helpful, nice. My waitress allowed me to order a not on the menu combination. The food was perfectly seasoned, as in did not need to add salt or pepper. It is one of the best restaurants in St. Augustine. The setting, furniture, paintings really made me feel like a high end restaurant.

Chef really knows how to cook. Everybody enjoyed the meals they had. We actually went to get the bouillabaisse, however since the chef was changing menus they were not serving it. That disappointment aside our meals were delicious. The server was on the ball and terrific. I only negative comment about it is that the drinks are very overpriced. The price of meals while a little steep, we're well worth it

Great place! Finally a French onion soup that’s not salty. They did not have the Atlantic fish but were very accommodating and gave me the best crab cakes I ever had with grilled vegetables, since I did not want potatoes. Is great to go to a place where food is flavor is at best. Thank you for making mu night.

Mixed reactions based on the people in my party of 14. We felt the server did his best but couldn't really give the best service because of other tables he was obligated to serve. The reaction to the food was equally uneven. My food was well-made and seasoned properly. My only personal criticism is the high prices don't correlate to the level of service or quality of food from the kitchen.

Ooo la la! Lovely dinner of appetizers tonight. I have been a little under the weather and wanted some good French onion soup and that's exactly what I found at Le Pavilion. Everything is locally sourced and made from scratch in house and you can taste their passion and love of food in their dishes. We had them bring everything at once. I got my onion soup with a Florentine crepe. My companion got the cream of potato, bacon and onion soup and the Boar sausage appetizer. They layered the flavors so well! The decor was warm French country with hardwood floors and lace curtains. Our server was a knowledgeable college student who was attentive and charming. We will definitely be back to explore more of this fine restaurant's offerings.

Tried this for the first time since moving to Saint Augustine this year. I rarely review restaurants but was so disappointed in this place. First, when we arrived no one greeted us and it had an awkward entry. We finally had to go find someone who sat us immediately. It was pretty busy but have seen places much busier. Our server was awful. He was taking care of 5-6 tables and running all around. I think the kitchen was the big issues but the server didn't help matters. We got our drinks quickly but 45 minutes to get our bread and salads!! I could hear others were getting irritated over the service and how long their food was taking to arrive. It was 1 hour and 40 minutes until our entrees showed. I was getting ready to walk out when it finally arrived My husband ordered the blue cheese stuffed steak and that was good. My veal Oscar was NOT good and I didn't eat it. I will say that our server brought us 2 more glasses of wine at no charge because of the wait. He really was not a good server and was blaming the kitchen. Even if that's true, you could have been more attentive! Another very attentive person came to our table. I don't know who he was but I believed him to be the GM or owner. At the end, we didn't pay for the veal entree which was taken off our bill. The owner knew our experience was not great and personally showed us around and apologized for the veal dish. He was really great and while I am only giving it 2 stars, his attention will lead me to try it one more time. As far as that server.... Dude.... Get another job!

We stopped in this restaurant just because we were hungry and new to the area. To be fair, if I was rating this restaurant based off appearance I would give it a 4.0. It's quaint, charming and homey looking. However, the service was lackluster. Our waitress refilled our drinks and that was just about all. She was very clearly unhappy. The food was the worst part of the experience, I got the crepes with creamed spinach and was very dissatisfied. They were tiny, bland, and overly salty. Having been a $20 meal, it was incredibly overpriced and not worth it. Our leaving words in the car home were "Man, we should've just gone to Subway."

The food was actually quite good. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered, including the onion soup and especially the lamb rack (very flavorful).... But that might be been he worst service I've ever had at a nice restaurant. There were 2 other tables in the entire restaurant by the time we were Midway through our meal (mind you, our reservation was at 7:30). I get it, our server might've been slammed, but there were servers just standing around everywhere. It took forever to get our drinks, take our order, bring is bread (this came 30 minutes after he said it could come out... And we actually asked for it at that point). Feel free to go if you want some good food, but be prepared to get VERY frustrated by the service... And ripped off as the place is rather pricey.
