Best breakfast I have ever eaten!!!

We had two breakfasts on our recent trip to Southwold and couldn’t recommend Duchies more. Very friendly attentive staff and delicious food. Popped back in for a mars bar brownie (takeaway) later on one of the days which was also great! A must to visit

What a fantastic place for breakfast!
I had the eggs florentine and it was perfect! The eggs were cooked brilliantly and the hash browns were some of the best I’ve ever had. I did get that as an additional side… and I’m glad I did.

Visited Duchies about 9am on an April Monday and we (3 adults and a toddler) got there at the right time! The place filled up as we sat there!

Our second visit to Duchies and today's late breakfast was delicious. Every item was cooked to perfection. As mentioned by other reviewers the black pudding is particularly tasty. Coffee, is supplied by Paddy & Scott's, based in Ipswich. Our two flat whites were excellent, possibly the best on the high street?!

Popped in for a salad.
Staff were really friendly and happy to make what ever I wanted.
A fresh tuna salad was made and was great.
There is more seating upstairs.
Breakfasts are very popular here.
Prices are very reasonable too

Lovely atmosphere, very busy (in a good way), great food and very friendly and attentive staff. I had the veggie full English and my partner who is vegan had avacado and vegan bacon on a toasted muffin with hash browns.
All of the food was cooked perfectly and the coffee was great - also the kitchen looked really clean. My poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The only constructive criticism I have is that all of the food could have done with more seasoning. However, they might have decided to let people season to their own taste as salt and pepper is provided on the tables. There is also Stokes tomato ketchup on the tables which is great because it’s the best.
All in all, a great place with friendly staff and perfectly cooked and presented breakfasts. Will be back again soon!

Best cooked breakfast I've had for years.
Quality of the ingredients was excellent and it was all prepared very well and on a hot plate. Black pudding was especially good.
Service was friendly and prompt.
Would highly recommend.
