My favourite haunt when Im back in my hometown of Southampton. Great pint cocktails, which are good value for money - especially happy hour 2 for 1. Great outdoor space which is always where the atmosphere is at, regardless of the weather. Pool tables are a great new (?) addition.

If you visit before 9pm cocktails are 2 for £6(!) and the food is great and very reasonably priced as well

Always a lovely night out. One star taken off though because although wheelchair accessibility is decent, there is no ramp for the front access step. Security are always helpful though, and bring me through the fire exit.
Patio seating is lovely and toasty with the ceiling heaters! Great for large parties.
2 for 1 pint cocktails do make it easy to get drunker than you mean to though!!! Music and vibe have always been good every visit, nice area to dance for those able to.
Security always take any harrassment seriously, and it's generally a very lgbtq+ friendly crowd.
The addition of the late night menu is absolutely superb. Perfect night out food with delicious vegan options ensures a great time for all!

Also love the guy called robbie, as he had said he sells himself like a Wh*r3
He is the cool guy with the lush beard

I have really started to enjoy coming to this bar for a cocktail or four! This is a very entertaining bar situated in the heart of Beavois Valley.
Not only is there a wide selection of drinks available including the famous hobbit cocktails, there is also 3 pool tables and an entire games room which includes Pinball and a Nintendo 64 with Mario Kart installed and set up ready to go!
Purchasing a jug saves you money as opposed to 2 pints of cocktails, and the DJ actually plays a song when you request it which seems to be rare these days!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere and the cocktails were on point, cheap aswell, love it, brilliant place to go with friends, massive garden aswell, never had the food, that's if they actually do any, but there's nowhere to rate the drinks, so I put food at 5 stars.

Similar vibes to The Hobbit with a younger audience, they have their own little club dance floor area and great cocktails. A decent outdoor space too. The Shooting Star has massively improved in the last 5 years (new management) and I LOVE the music!! Who doesn't like metal/emo/alt/pop punk/rock eh!
